Default Yaaaay .... Snow Day Today

I guess what the majority of you got in the GTA and southern Ontario hit us here last night in Ottawa and will continue all day today. We got about 25 cm of snow last night, but as well a ton of freezing rain. They're saying we supposed to get another 20 cm today. So, by the time the storm passes will have about 45 cm of snow.

Anyhow, the nice thing about living about 30 minutes outside of Ottawa is on days like today I can stay home and work from here instead of battling the weather and the horrible traffic that there would be.

Are they still doing that construction by the 401 I believe in Ottawa? I remember it being BRUTAL in the summer time around rush hour; add in the snow and you got a hellacious day ahead of you. But there IS nothing better than a snow day.

If it was the 401 the closest that we get to it is near Brockville. But, if your referring to the construction on the 417 here in Ottawa but closer to Kanata, then yes its still going and won't apparently be finished till the end of next year.

We got a little bit of both yesterday. Both freezing rain and snow. It ruined my plans to have my birthday dinner in Niagara on the Lake. Stupid weather.
