Default Winter Tires

Can anyone suggest a good place to get them, from experience?

I think we got ours at Walmart.

They actually have a pretty good auto centre.

National Tire is great and chaep, been going there for 4-5yrs now. I bought 4 Viking brand tires (highly rated) there for 110.00 each, and Falcons for about the same price. I've recommended this place to several people and they've been happy. It's a busy place though and they don't take appointments , first come first serve, so unless you get there early you may be waiting a few hours.

250?

Fuck that, stay away from the expensive name brands. This place i recommended told me that and they were right. The first time i went there they told me Viking Tires were great winter tires. A week later i was watching the news and they were recommending winter tire brands and they said Vikings were highly rated and recommended. Since then i trust them. My last set were Falcons and they've been great as well.

250$ is crazy imo. I remember when i was looking at winter tires 4-5yrs ago and i was told to get Bridgestones and i asked how much they were, when he told me 220$ each i almost shit my pants. I'm not gonna pay 1000$ (incl. taxes, installation) for winter tires.

I hear Toyo Tires are also good but if i'm not mistaken they're around 180$ each.

What kind of car, what size tires do you need?

Anyone else older and doesn't have a license? I am 35 and I've never had one. I can drive - took the course, did really well, passed the mock test back in the stone ages and have driven the very odd time since - but never bothered to get it after moving to Toronto for university. 15 years later, I still don't have it and it's quite the pain in the ass. Honestly, I'm too scared. I'm afraid I'll kill someone. Everyone says you get over that fear, but whatever. I think it's one of those things where, if you don't get started at it when you're young, it's really difficult to get the ball rolling as an older person. Like those old people who buy a computer and they're just dumb about it. It's not that they're dumb, but they feel insecure and out of touch.

Got mine at Tire Rack, they are just across the border from Niagara Falls, but if you don't want to make the drive I believe they will ship. You can check them out at Tire Rack - Your performance experts for tires and wheels

Excellent quality tires at great prices.
