I'm self-employed. The upside is taking whatever damn day I want off.

Gurk, don't this the wrong way or anything, but you sound like a pretty lazy kid who doesn't realize how lucky he has it.

Hell, my parents growing up were concerned that playing a video game for 1 hr. a day was too much. I look back on them now and I thank them that they instilled a certain ethic in me.

Being lazy is ok as long as you can balance it out overall. Take in life slowly when you can and you won't regret it, and I recommend finding someone with loads of energy that pulls you along in their wake enough that you keep the dust off. It works for me.

You get out of life what you put into it.

The problem with being born into a good or bad position is it CAN instill the wrong values.

If you get things for free at the beginning you think that things will continue to come to you.

If you get nothing for free at the beginning you think that life just isn't fair.

Well life isn't fair. Fair is bullshit. To the victor go the spoils. You want it, you work for it. You outpace everyone else. Life is war. You move your chess pieces and out maneuvre those around you.

A lot of people refuse to take a good objective look at what they have really accomplished and how hard they really try. When they do, they get a rude awakening. Most prefer to live in the fairy tale.

At the end of the day you answer to yourself. If you are comfortable being "lazy" and watching those around you leave you in the dust, have fun. I look around at people who were once my equals, who now, in no way compare to me. I don't feel good about myself, I feel sorry for them.

And I'll be damned if I am going to be one of the people that others feel sorry for.

Well I am not that lazy. I can be lazy sometimes but mostly I am not. I do all my my work go play outside then I become lazy. I like playing outside with my friends. I usually do all my work but sometimes I do act lazy and I know it is bad. I hope to get rid of the bad habit but sometimes no matter how much I force myself I just can't

I would play less video games if my work gave me more hours to work dammit. However, less work gives me more time to pump iron baby!

At the end of the day we all die. Good or bad positions mean very little in the big picture, especially if you don't take the opportunities that are there for everyone to just take life in.

I had the chance to get my whole life decided for me and enjoy plentitude, but I couldn't accept the blindness that it would bring. If you are true to yourself and appreciate whatever it is you are blessed with instead of always wanting more, then you'll always be ahead of everyone else.
