Yeah, that's the one. I heard it was awful for all systems, which sucks because I was excited after I heard that for the wii you put the controller in the bottom of the light saber and the nunchuck is the force.

Whoo-hoo! Just got my PS3 yesterday finally so gotta pick up some games soon.

Has anyone played Little Big Planet? I just bought it and its fun and very cutesy but seems more for kids and seems my 7-yr old daughter has taken over my PS3 now!

Now I gotta make the difficult decision of choosing either 2K9 or Live 2009 and don't know which way to go, any suggestions?

In my opinion, live doesn't even come close to 2k9... but that's my preference.

Mariokart Wii is good fun.

Though I'm not that keen on the fact that my kids are able to beat me even if I'm trying.

get used to it XW, and learn to accept it.
last christmas my GF's little cousins destroyed me at wii bowling... (they are all little girls and range in age from 5-9).
last christmas was quite possibly the lowest point in my life: i had 3 little girls laughing at me after kicking my ass in a video game.
it was horrible.

i've been practicing all year to finally kick their asses this christmas when i see them again and i get my rematch

*sigh...
i dont know whats worse; me getting my ass handed to me in a video game by 3 little girls, or me training for 12 months to get my revenge on them.

Dude, just go with 2k9.

I've played Little Big Planet. It's really fun. But I played it with friends, so I'm not sure how it is if you go at it alone. It's definitely more of a multiplayer game. If you've got people to play with, I say get it for sure.

I actually did get 2K9, but mostly it was because they didn't have NBA Live 09 where I was shopping. Also, I read a lot of positive things for 2K9 as opposed to NBA Live. Anyway, I'm happy with the choice as the controls are not too different from Live (except not sure how to dunk). Also, I haven't been able to make one free-throw so far, seems more difficult to do than Live.

The graphics are pretty good, some of the players faces are spot-on like Rondo, Dirk or Kobe, although others are turrible: Ray Allen looks like the Thing and Bosh looks like he's high throughout the entire game. I guess that's what they call "laid-back".

One other annoying thing is the commentator keeps calling Bargnani "Barg-nanny" but its only a minor annoyance. The game is solid so far as I've been playing it.

HAHA I'm sort of in the same predicament and I've been training on a few games myself to beat my little cousin at.

I have yet to beat either of my daughters at the boxing in Wii Sports.

Been playing Rayman Raving Rabbids with them - hilarious and lots of fun.

Fifa 09. What a ridiculously awesome game. They spruced up what needed to be fixed and compared to PES this year, Fifa 09 blows it away. Just an awesome experience.

Yeah it is a great game. I'm getting quite good at it myself.

The only thing that gets to me is some of the visuals. Specifically the stadiums and the crowds. The fans all now wear the team colours... which could look a lot better except that outside of the red shirts, everything else is white or grey. and that includes the stadiums themselves. It's alsmost like The stadium is black and white with the exception of the team colours.

The fans and atmosphere in the NBA 2K series is unmatched IMO. That shit looks realistic.

mind you FIFA plays extremely well and that is the most important thing.

I agree on the crowds fancy. EA has always had a problem doing realistic crowd animations.

But the gameplay visuals, lighting, player movement are just incredibly awesome. Hell, having to actually probe zones and exploit defensive match ups is something FIFA never did. It was always each player matched up evenly regardless of skill level. Now, the skill levels really come through.
