preordered NHL 11 at EB today...traded in AC2 and WWE 2010 + $20

not bad I guess...two games I haven't played for a long time, and way better then paying $70+ tax

plus the EB games is across the street from my new school so it's a great way to start school lol

^ i'm in the minority when it comes to Fable... i have played each of the first 2 installments, was excited as hell to play em, yet when i did play them both i actually didnt enjoy the game that much.

its weird because I LOVE rpgs (especially fantasy ones - dragon age origins is fantastic btw). and i get jacked to play Fable, only to be disappointed afterwards. it may be because the character doesnt talk... i feel no connection to him... i dunno.
im sure i will get excited again to play #3, but will be disappointed again... i just have a bad feeling.

speaking of games, ive been on a bit of a rampage lately...(with sequels).
Crackdown 2
Kane and Lynch 2
Mafia 2

lets go from worse to best...
Kane and Lynch 2:
crap. i played for 2 days (finished the single player which was 4 hours), then played some multiplayer.
the single player is crap... the multiplayer is fun, but then quickly becomes lame.
5/10

Crackdown 2:
what a dissapointment... the first crackdown was amazing... this installment cant hold a candle to the first. i was expecting so much, only to be let down. the franchise is ruined. pity, the first was awesome.
6/10

Mafia 2:
ive played for about 3 hours so far and im hooked.
the story is terrific and i am loving the game so far. it feels like im in a mafia movie. excellent visuals, voice acting is top notch. great game so far... cant wait to play more.
bonus - the hidden objects scattered thru out the world that you have to find are playboy magazines! when you find them you get to see the centerfold's pic. they are actual real centerfolds from the 50's and 60's... its quite awesome!

^girlfriend is a Fable freak
Fallout 3 is probably my favourite RPG...with Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion being a close 2nd

i saw an advertisement for Mafia 2 on tv the other day and it looked real good...think i might rent it and check it out as well

edit...girlfriend's at work right now so i think i'll jump on some BF2 while i have a chance

Exactly. Most of my friends are gonna get Black Ops but I usually get every NBA each season 'cept for last seasons. Right now I am leaning toward Black Ops and maybe in the summer vacation get NBA while it's cheap. idk though xD

Can't wait for F3NV. Saw the trailer on TV and nearly wet myself. From everything I've heard/read, the game will be much deeper and and even more open-ended than Fallout 3. I can't imagine how they'll make it much better, Fallout 3 is a top 5 RPG of all time IMO.

i am going to pre order it on Tuesday...
i absolutely loved Fallout 3, and im in dire need of another great RPG game... i dunno, im just in the mood to play a deep rpg that hooks me. so i cant wait for this baby.
i wonder how i will roll my character. good? evil? neutral?
in the last fallout, i started off a saint, but then it dawned on me; if this was me in real life and i was living in this post-apocalyptic wasteland, i would be a scavenger and do anything i could to stay alive and get money, so i pretty much fucked over anyone who was in my way.
i stole anything i could get my grubby paws on and killed anyone that i thought was carrying some loot that i could benefit from. i was one big greedy bastard. needless to say, my guy was the epitome of evil... until the end when i finally decided to repent and sacrifice myself... the game even realized this and mentioned it in the final monologue - it was awesome.
how did you guys play your character?

the same way i played KOTR, Fable, and Mass Effect - like a saint. I end up feeling bad when i screw people over. when i start these games i always tell myself i'm going to ravage shit, then i end up choking and pussying out and repenting every time.

I was a saint on my first playthrough.

On my second, I was the exact opposite. But it just didn't feel right blowing up Megaton etc.
