Had the same one before I sold it a while back, enjoy it man. You forget how many memorable moments we see everyday until you actually have something to capture them with. Gonna pick this up again around the summer.

Was thinking about getting the same model as an entry level camera
there is a detailed review of the 600D: Canon EOS Rebel T3i (EOS 600D) Camera - Full Review

My latest purchase was a bag of chips from the store. They were awesome.

ya, i'd like to get one of those as well (eventually)...still learning how to use what i have though (EFS 18-55 and the EFS 55-250)
i've looked around at a few different websites and the general consensus seems to be the Canon 85mm f/1.8 USM (approx $500 ?) is best for portraits...only concern with it is very low light when shooting indoors

if you're on a bit more of a budget (like me) i would suggest going with the "nifty fifty" (Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II)....Bestbuy has it for $120

We finally splurged (since we spend so much on coffee) and purchased one of these. Pricey, but they last forever. I have a friend whose family has owned a machine from Jura for 27 years. Hope I can get half of that out of it.

I went on a spree lately.

Wanted an entire entertainment system, so I went and bought the LG 7600 55" LED tv.

Love it so far, it's weird cause it has a wii style remote with the pointer. Was unsure at first but after playing with it for a bit, I love it.

That along with the Apple TV and a new super AC router for my internet, my home theatre setup is just pristine.

Yeah...that and a new couch are the final pieces.

But honestly, I hate most sound systems.

I want something as minimal as possible. I hate the 7 speaker combos. I need surround sound with as little hardware as physically possible.

Any suggestions?

One word for speakers...Bose
3 companies i would recommend for receivers are Yamaha, Onkyo and Harmon/Kardon

Ya, I've been looking at the 50mm that is usually around $120 regular. It just never goes on sale. I might just buy it for regular. Very nice lense for blurring out the background.

reason it's so cheap is because of the plastic...but everywhere i look, i see nothing but rave reviews on the lens

check out ebay...there are a few available right now...$99, $105, $107...all used but look to be in excellent condition

The most recent purchase I made was for my mom's birthday. I bought her something similar to this (Can't find the exact product I purchased but his is similar)

For someone who isn't great with technology like my mom, this makes it so easy. I doubt she could ever figure out how bluetooth works. Only cost me about $30

Bought this from Target for $30. It's pretty cool. It comes with a wireless sensor for outdoor temperature readings as well. Also, comes with an atomic clock.
