Very negligent, but im not sure what the charge should be, any thoughts?

Second degree murder sounds about right to me if you consider that the father was grossly negligent in letting his two kids walk 10 miles in the show. Because of his grossly neglectful act, his daughter died. It was unintentional, for sure, but at the same time what the hell was he thinking letting his kids walk out in the snow like that?!

Criminal negligence? Manslaughter? Those are my early guesses but I think second degree murder is way too high of a charge for it.

Thats what i was thinking, wasnt sure if i was the only one, he must feel like utter shit already, unless there is evidence he did it with malicous intentions i dont think the punishment fits the crime, but he is immediately guilty of 1st degree stupity aswell.
