When the hell did he learn all this?
Its ridiculous. there's no incentive for him to be the leader anymore. Its not like he has any alliances or provides the only source of food. Martinez could've just killed him.

and where did they go? a little vacation on the beach perhaps

Yep that's the final scene... weak ending huh?

Really wish the show stayed a little more loyal to the comic from day one. This entire series would be 100 times better.

"The Walking Dead" closed out with a bang on Sunday night, bringing in its biggest audience in the show's history.

The last episode from departing showrunner Glen Mazzara brought in 12.4 million viewers.

But, the bigger news - 8.1 million of those viewers were in the coveted (to advertisers) 18-49 adults demo.

After the big Season 3 finale, the cast and crew Tweeted out their thanks to the fans.

Funny, i watched the replay of GOT last night for about 20min, TBH i was bored to tears and turned the channel. Maybe i'll eventually watch it from the beginning but it seems kind of dull to me.

AMC's Walking Dead finale delivered its largest audience ever with 12.4 million viewers overall and 8.1 million adults 18-49, making it the number one program for the night. The series' season average was also number one for the broadcast season for adults 18-49, besting other hit network shows like The Big Bang Theory, The Voice and Modern Family. In short, Walking Dead is a massive success at this point.

Meanwhile, EW.com reports that HBO's Thrones racked up 4.4 million viewers for the season premiere (and 6.7 million after two repeat airings) -- that's 13 percent up from last year and a record for the series.

Quote:
What's interesting, though is that AMC's Talking Dead actually outperformed Game of Thrones' initial airing, with 5.2 million viewers tuning in to the live post-Walking Dead talk show. Yes, obviously more people have AMC than HBO -- still, it's notable when a show about The Walking Dead continues to do those numbers, with the Talking Dead also beating plenty of network series as well.

No i get that, just posting some of the articles on ratings. I could see how some would hate the finale. I liked some of it but even i was a little disapointed.

I'd bet more than half the people that watched it felt disappointed and underwhelmed by what was supposed to be an epic finale. I'd bet that the ratings are going to be down come episode 1 of the next season.

Breaking Bad is 100x better than the Walking Dead and probably gets half of the ratings because of peoples obsession with zombies. Honestly, TWD went from being a must watch for me every week to a show I'll probably just torrent when the season is over next season.

The writers fucked up.

We'll see how many come back next season. IMO they show will start to decline in the ratings to some degree. These numbers can't continue forever. As for this supposed to be "epic", i never heard anyone say that? Some people just overhype things. Especially when we hear "27 people die". Did people really believe that half the core cast would be knocked off?

People these days though have very little loyalty. Too much on tv that can get people's attention and a bad couple episodes and people start jumping ship quickly.

AMC is really milking the WD run as well.

I was looking at my options for Cable Plans in Peterborough. Shaw has AMC in with Super Channel and HBO. Like its some kind of specialty channel now. And the way they held Rogers hostage (I assume). Bubble could burst if they over extend themselves.

Very disappointed with the finale, loads of tension built just for a few flashbangs and then its over.

Oh well, time to wait for Breaking Bad

I put that kid's death on Hershel. He did not explain that this is Rick's kid, and his Beretta 9mm has a hair trigger. "Put the gun down" means exactly that. Not slowly stand there and hand it over with your finger still on the trigger. Carl had every right to shoot that other kid.

I'd say that number is closer to 80% TBH.

I don't blame the writers as much as I blame the AMC brass themselves. Frank Darabont was the original director and had a lot of input when the show first started... Then they fired him because they thought his ideas were going to cost too much money. Since then it's been a glorified soap opera.

Season finale was a joke. I'm done with this show. Thank God GoT is back on.

The writing on the show needs to improve. It felt like a 10th grader wrote the opening scene with the Governor.

People just love the zombie concept, the writing of the show was never that good to begin with. It's a decent show overall, but a lot of the time I lose interest, shut it off, and finish it later on just for the sake of it.

There we go, fixed it seriously I browse the TWD subreddit, their facebook page, and TWD forums... a large portion of fans are very disappointed with that finale. Not sure if I'll tune in next season either, the governor is not an interesting enough villain to keep for another season (even if it is only the first half).

I already did give up on this show once before and the only thing that brought me back were my friends who praised the first half of the season. I admit the first half was entertaining but it just sucked afterwards (except for the Morgan episode).

Really, for a zombie show i think the writting is decent. This is pretty lowbrow genre. I think people expect far too much sometimes. I myself think that some episodes just drag on but that's normal in any show. I realy believe though that the actors on this show are pretty good as well. BTW, has there ever been a zombie show on tv before this? I don't recall one. Besides i've always found even zombie movies a bit campy and have never really been into this genre so the fact that i'm interested in this is saying something, for me at least. That and i tend not to give up on anything so easily.
