I don't understand why they would assume that she died.... they're not out in the random wilderness anymore.... there's only so many that she (or her body) could be. Why wouldn't they organize a search for her??

I think that when they found her hat next to T-Dog's body they thought she was killed/eaten. It is odd that Daryl hasn't searched for her, even though they're all distracted by the baby and everything else going on.

I'm going to speculate two things:

- Carol will be found by Daryl in a cell or a room somewhere in the prison. Hopefully next week b/c I can't take another half season wasted looking for her like sofia. Lol

- That phone call Rick picked up will be a hellucination.

Why would they come to that conclusion though just because they found her scarf???

Shoot, if Daryll gets lost somewhere and all they find is his crossbow are they going to assume that he's dead too?

I agree, but amidst the chaos who was looking for her and they probably assumed she coldn't have survived. It's also out of character for Daryl not to go look for her, although when Sofia was revealed as a zombie I remember Daryl saying he was done looking for people. Either way I say she'll turn up next episode and Daryl will be the one to find her.

since i haven't read the comics, i have no idea who this character is...but i thought i'd pass along this info anyways
oh and just so you know...i omitted one line from this article because i felt it was a major spoiler about the character

Will Tyreese Join The Cast of AMC's "The Walking Dead?"

Quote:
AMC's "The Walking Dead" got the katana wielding Michonne at the beginning of this year's season in the form of actress Danai Gurira and the bonus of The Governor as the season's major villain, portrayed by David Morrissey -- but according to series creator Robert Kirkman, fans of the comic have at least one more character coming their way.

In an interview with EW.com Kirkman stated the December 2 fall finale of the AMC drama will feature a new character straight from "The Walking Dead" comic.

"There’s a new character added,” Kirkman told EW. “A big deal fan favorite from the comic book is introduced into the show in this episode, so be on the lookout for that.”

EW speculates that it might be Tyreese, a fan-favorite character from early in the comic series -- and Kirkman could neither confirm nor deny.

"I don't know, man!" he said. "I don't know. I got no clue!"

Tyreese, a former NFL Linebacker, bouncer and car salesman, first appeared in "The Walking Dead" #7 and joined Rick Grimes' initial group of survivors with his daughter, Julie, and her boyfriend, Chris. Tyreese was widely regarded as the co-leader of the survivors alongside Rick,

Although the series creator evaded questions about the possibility of Tyreese joining the cast, EW reports rumors of "The Wire" actor Chad Coleman -- a dead ringer for Charlie Adlard's depiction of Tyreese in the comic -- has been spotted around the show's Atlanta filming area. Whoever the fan-favorite character is, they'll show up on the midseason finale December 2.1

i've ben doing a little digging and it sounds like he's a pretty important character in the books
and all reports i've read say that Chad Coleman is the spitting image of the character...sounds like a good fit

This season just feels different and I'm having a real hard time getting into it and I think it's because they moved to Mazzara instead of Darabont (who I think is better).

Darabont did a good job of building characters, story arc, themes etc. and sacrificed the importance of zombies in this world.

This season, it just feels far too different. There's more unnecessary 'gore', and less story development. I know I'm in the minority but this show has lost something this season. Even the climactic Lori scene had no emotion in it. I didn't feel anything because we were essentially instructed for the better part of the season not to feel anything.

Again, I know I'm in the minority here, but instead of something interesting and even philosophical to an extent, it feels cliched now.

I'm enjoying the season. But I'm not really enjoying the Andrea/Govenor stuff at all. They billed the Govenor as some great villain but I'm just not seeing it yet. I'm glad that they are going to bring the two groups together and shit should really start going down now. I really wish we could have seen a T-Dog/Merle reunion scene. Lol

Like I said, I know I'm in the minority.

The Governor (who I love/hate in the comics) and the Andrea story arc, is well just being done awkwardly.

To me, this season there's more of a nod towards the people who were complaining that there were a lack of zombie and zombie deaths (which you've seen plenty of) and trying to appease that large and vocal internet group.
