university applications

its that time in my life. for some others on this forum too. now i need help, desperately. im researching frantically but i can use all the help i can get. im thinking of applying to europe simply because you go straight into law. i would be a lawyer in 5 years, as oppose to 7-8 here. now oxford and cambridge are long shots in terms of acceptance there, so im wondering, what other diginified law schools are there in britain? i know about london school of economics but i would prefer to not live in london (see: living costs). ill still apply anyways but other than that..

is warwick a good school? manchester? i really have no idea.

No you're not. If you were, you would have found a webiste that is directly relevant to the questions you're asking and you would have asked them there.

Kid, you're not looking hard enough, instead you're looking for quick answers from a bunch of guys on a raptors forum.

If this indicative of your work ethic (and research skills), I'll tell you right now, there's no way you'll make it through law school.

Personally, I feel you're telling everyone in a round about way, look at me, I'm going to law school AND I can go to Europe. Interestingly enough, this has come up at the same time when some others on this forum are saying how excited they are for their first year. I guess you enjoy being the center of attention huh? Well, now you have my attention.

comeon claudius, is that really fair? i am researching, ive been researching for about a week now. im using my options. i believe its called networking? ive asked a friend of mine who goes to crescent for information, i have some graduates from my highschool trying to help me out. and this website is a way of getting more information. i want to make my decision with the most information possible before i make it. I never know who has done what, and why not excercise one of my options? dont take a hit at a higschooler whos frantic at a really confusing time.

I know NOTHING about British Universities but here's some info that I found... I recommend you visit this site:

University guide 2012: Law | Education | guardian.co.uk.

You can get an idea of the names and research accordingly to where you have an opportunity of being accepted.

Also try to Google Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) or go here to view the pdf: RAE 2008 : Publications : 2008 : RAE 01/2008 - RAE 2008: the outcome. This seems like an agency that reviews schools of all levels.

There must be a Princeton Review type site for Britain. I don't think its bad to ask if there happens to be any visitors that are British or studied over there. But yea it's going to be tough to find such person on a basketball forum for a Canadian team. You should signup for a Manchester United forum and those guys would have a better idea lol.

What a bitch... another woman on a power trip huh? Someone's menstruating.

She's lecturing him how to be professional with that unnecessary, exaggerated outburst? Obviously she can't control her emotions or remain professional.

Of course it's fair.

You know why I say it's fair. Simple. There's plenty more resources available.

You're frantic? You had two months essentially to prepare for this and now you're researching overseas? Really? I had friends preparing 1-2 years in advance when they were thinking of going to school out of the country.

Confusing time? Again, really? I've applied to undergrad, grad and colleges. I know EXACTLY how it is. I was never confused though about where to go and programs.

Lastly, you're 17 I believe? Do you want me to talk to you as a child or as an adult? I know the 11 year olds I coached wanted to be talked to as an adult.

And a hint towards networking: create a list (you ALREADY had a thread about going to university etc.). Your list will be populated by names who responded to that earlier thread and similar threads on raptorsforum (search function works here). Out of that list, contact the BEST names on who would have information. That's how you network.

What you're doing is akin to standing in a room and screaming I want a job and hoping someone listens to you and takes you seriously.

You enjoying your fishing today? Another question, do you permanently live under a bridge?
