I like Vancouver. Mountains. Ocean. It's always been sunny whenever I've been there though. The rainy stretches might get a bit rough.

The only problem I have here is the rain. April to September we have some pretty decent weather though.

Shopping? I have no opinion.

Move away form North Vancouver man. I think I heard Richmond gets half the rain that North Van gets? Even better move to Victoria. We get twice as much sunshine as Vancouver due to the Olympic Mountains rain shadow. Plus I hate driving, and you can ride your bike almost anywhere in 30 minutes in Victoria.

Toronto is a grey cold city in the winter compared to Vancouver. You can't windsurf in the winter in Toronto.

The only plus side I see of living in Toronto is the job market and nightlife.

Never been to either city but based on what I've seen on the internet/heard Vancouver seems better for me. For the profession I'm studying I think it wouldn't be too hard to get a comfortable job in either city (civil engineering). I'd prefer the outdoor activities over the nightlife that Toronto would be able to supply. Also, my best friend lives in BC and he pretty much tells me its the best place in Canada every single time I talk to him.

Also, the smaller the city the better.

Ha. Not sure I buy that (having been to Vancouver).

You're going to find hot women in pretty much EVERY major city in Canada.

To those wanting to live in Vancouver.... just prepare yourself for the rent/housing costs. Not for the faint of heart. lol.

what you said, but subtract toronto.

I'm sorry but the women here are abysmal (if you were to take the average).

Sure there are supermodels on every corner of the world, but in toronto, very very rare.

Toronto is better ... at least when you get sick of being there there are kick ass cities you can get too in a flash. I couldn't handle the rain and last I checked this past Toronto winter was quite mild. I want good wheather I'd go on vacation. Problably San Diego is the only NA city I'd jet to that looks like a much better place to live from an outsider.

I enjoy Toronto yest you miss alot of nature in Vandy and have advantages but I guess the advantages vandy has I don't care for. I don't do the shrooms anymore and gave up weed a long time ago. Couldnt' handle you burnouts

I've lived in both cities and really what it comes down to is lifestyle.

I found Vancouver far slower than Toronto (both the pace of the city and, in turn, the people within it) stores/malls/bars etc. don't stay open as late and the services/retail selection in Vancouver is no where near as good as Toronto's.

However, if you like a more active/outdoor-sy lifestyle then Vancouver is a better place to live. Ocean, Mountains, Civilization all right there. The local food is phenomenal pretty much year round (only in the summer does Toronto really get LOCAL produce) except dry packaged goods (cereal, canned foods) are more expensive in Vancouver.

Both are multicultural and unique, and both are in Canada so there's similarities.

I personally prefer Toronto, in Vancouver I couldn't deal with the people screaming last call at 1 am and meaning it, plus stores closing at 6 on a freakin' Friday is just annoying. But Vancouver does have some great aspects to it that Toronto will never be able to compete with.

It really does come down to lifestyle.

You must live outside the GTA, musicians from around the world talk about the fly women in Toronto all the time.

TORap is right, Canada has really really attractive women across the board. There's obviously a few unattractive ones too, but hit St. Laurent Street in Montreal on a Saturday Night? MAAAAD hot chicks. Richmond Street at 11pm on a Friday in Toronto? Robson during the day in Vancouver? You will drool man.

And Toronto's Girls >>> Vancouver's Girls

Don't get me wrong, Vancouver's women are out of control hot, but with the nature loving lifestyle comes women who neglect razors all together, and thats just not right.

I live in yorkmills and bayview so im very much so in the gta. And i agree that montreal has incredible women, i was saying toronto doesn't. Montreal isnt street specific and wherever u walk you see incredible women. The larger number of beautiful women means they are easier to talk.to and more down to earth because they dont realize how nice they really look. Whereas in toronto the few that look decent think theyre gods gift to men.
