Default time to kill in Hamilton.

Claudius, and anyone else familiar with "steel town":

i need advice.

I'm going to a wedding in Hamilton with the wife and my parents. We got two and a half hours to kill. What do we do? someone suggested visiting the art gallery. another thing i was told was the CFL hall of fame (not likely that i'll do that one).

anything else?

Go to the Mapleview Mall in Burlington.

Hamilton -- Art Gallery is meh. Some people love it, others hate it.

If you want to go to Denninger's on King St. and Wellington. Alot of Euro food and alot of people from Toronto go there. If you want more in regards on that one, just PM me.

Bean Bar in Westdale is nice for lunch also you could go down to Pier 3 (?) and to Williams cafe (chain I know) and go to the Discovery Centre which I hear is ok.

If you go to Burlington go to Pane Fresco on Locust St. Nice artisan bakery, great breakfast and lunch specials. You'll likely see me in there eating a pain au chocolat. Also, if you go to the Queenshead in Burlytown, good place to watch an english league game.

Mapleview mall right now is undergoing construction and you have Ikea in Burlytown too.

I wouldn't go to Kittling Ridge winery personally, I think that's the one Fancy's mentioning. If you're looking for something quaint, go to Jordan Station. It's about 23 minutes away (exact time) and it's populated with nice little shops.

Also, you can go to Dundas in Hamilton which is as far west as you can go. Populated with nice little shops and boutiques and an awesome organic butcher.

Or you can go to Limeridge Mall which is just up the escarpment. It all depends on where you are.

i think the whole thing is around Down town. I suggested going to a pub or something in hess village, but my father isn't big on that as we're going to the reception later (with food and drink obviously).

your comment on the art gallery makes me want to do that (even if it's not that good - at least it's something to see). Also, i gather it's close to the farmer's market (jackson square yeah?) so maybe my parents would want to walk around and check that out.

Only question i have about the gallery - is it big enough to spend an hour or two there?
