Default Thunder and lightning

We are having some thunder and lightning for the first time here in Vancouver in the lower mainland. I think the last time I've heard thunder was like 2 years ago.

Are there lots of thunder storms in Toronto or is it just the same? Just curious.

We get our thunder storms over here, especially in the spring / fall, but the weather's been especially shitty this summer so we've had a few more than normal since June.

I just looked outside right now and the clouds almost look pitch dark. Big thunderstorm on its way!

There's some weird pressure system hanging over southern and central Ontario which refuses to leave the area. Until that happens, this crappy summer will continue.

I was reading about this pressure system online and they've been theorizing that it's because of some unseasonably warm temperature up around Baffin island pushing all the cooler air south and keeping it there.
