So, who has to work on "Family Day" tomorrow?

Anyone else working tomorrow? I had the option of having it off, but volunteered to work and then I can bank 2 and a half more days off because I worked it. Because I have federal government clients, we have to have a skeleton crew at our office tomorrow. :(

Anyhow, anyone else working or just going to enjoy the day with your "familes"? :)

I've got tomorrow off and the university is closed on Tuesday. Haha!

WOW, is it ever a ghost town here in downtown Ottawa. I think of the drive down this morning I saw at least 3 pieces of tumbleweed. :(

I have to work today too unfortunately. They said I can take a day off with pay whenever I want though because we're working today.

I had to go to Gatineau to get pants, and yeah, downtown was a ghost town.

French girls are FINE.

haha ... when did you get back to work Thriller? I thought your doctor said you should take a month or so off? Has it already gone by that fast?

Ball Don't Lie 02-18-2008 11:30 AM

Naw, after 2 weeks he said I could give it a go. So I went back and did scanning for a week, and the workplace sorta pressured me back into doing heavy lifting by insinuating that I was back to normal and shit when we were talking. My back still hurt but I did it for 3 days, but then asked to do the sort and he let me which was a lot better, heh.

Apparently we get pizza today too but arent all the places closed?

Restaurants and places like "Pizza, Pizza or Pizza Hut" are likely open. Mostly shopping stores/malls, banks, etc. are closes, but alot of bigger restaurant chains will be open. :)

Family day off was the bomb, but the downtown area was infested with little kids.. yuck!

Aar_Canada 02-19-2008 05:44 PM

Why do we need the government to tell us to have a family day? Like, I was watching CityNews and all these morons were taking their kids to the Science Centre and whatnot. If it hadn't been designated "Family Day", this wouldn't have happened?

Sorry, son, I'd love to do something with you on my day off, but it ain't family day, so screw off.
