Not really a snow day for me. My school's open, but my mom wanted me to stay home incase of a snow storm.

EDIT: Nevermind, my schools closed. Its an official snowday!!!

Shut up-a you face!

No snow day here. I got to walk to work in super deep puddles, and yummy slush, and icy snow.

Fun times for all!

i've had peopple call in taking vacation days, people coming late or not showing up... i don't get what the big deal is. it's december in toronto - there will be snow. just get up earlier and get going. this shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, and frankly, we've had it easy this year with no snow through november.

/rant.

There's no way I could call in a snow day for today. It's nothing really. It's just slush now and chances are, by the end of the day, all of it could very well be melted.

snow day?

To echo Trane's thoughts, it's not even really 'snow'. more like a little snowy, frozen rainy, slush. Big woop!

I guess Kawartha Lakes (lovely area BTW) is quite further north, so you guys get hit a fair bit harder, but down here, it's not that big a deal.

FUCK THIS! It's day one of winter like weather and I'm already pissed. WHY you ask?

1) No one's sidewalks were shovelled
2) Subway was delayed for like 35 minutes this morning
3) Subway starts moving and then there is a backlog of 50 million people
4) Some woman told someone else on the platform (not anyone that was differently abled or had a kid or anytihng, just a normal person) "Oh we'll make room for you"... WE WILL?! FUCK YOU BITCH! I DIDN'T AGREE TO GIVE UP MY SPACE!
5) My back hurts from being crammed into the subway in a weird position
6) I'm an hour or so behind at work because of all this.

FUCK FUCKITY FUCK!

I hate you winter, I hate you. But I hate that lady more, that was my oxygen you gave away.

No snow day here. We had a final exam and a few of my classmates showed up late. One guy was an hour late for a two hour exam.

Subways were bananas this morning. I got squished into the subway car. It was like those clips you see of the subways in Japan and how they have personnel to cram people in. All except for the fact that there was no TTC people to cram in others. The best are the people who are sitting and want to get up before the train pulls into the station and say "excuse me, I need to get through".. like I have someplace to go in this sardine packed subway.

you think people respond badly to snow in toronto! have you seen people over in england! if theres like 1 inch of snow on the ground, people begin to freak out, and drive faster instead of slower.

people over here suck so bad at driving in the snow, a wall near my house got smashed to bits when a van went through it, and there was barely any snow on the ground.

oh well snow days happen alot more tha they should here, purely because no-one is ever ready for the cold, regardless of our northern latitude.

wanna know the trick to give yourself some room?
start coughing and hacking wildly, as if you have a bad cold/flu... people will back away in fear and you will pretty much have an ample amount of breathing room. and when someone starts getting too close, begin coughing like a maniac again.
