TO, why do I hate it so much? Because as a phone, it's a crap product. I experience dropped calls daily. I've come to terms with it.

Do anything else (email) and its fine. As a phone though, it's just not that good.

Mehhh, i experience dropped calls daily on my BB torch. Isn't that more about the carrier though. I had the same phone with Bell and never had dropped calls. Now i use rogers and it's constant.

Not necessarily. Talking to work colleagues (and my web manager at work who used to work for Rogers) the consensus was this:

1. Droid
2. BB
3. Iphone

Dropped can happen because of carrier but device has a lot to do with it as well (and the quality of the device).

Then BB sucks! Ultimately i'll get an iphone next and everyone i know that has one loves it and whenever i've used one it's been great. Like Shadow said, get what you want and who cares what anyone else thinks. lol

At the rapid rate at which both I-phone and Droid are growing, BB will be out of buisness in a matter of time (years yet obviously) but they are going nowhere and have nothing outside of that garbage BBM. Their sales are dropping more and more every few months. Not to mention all the problems RIM has been having.

The Playbook is nice though I must admit, 200 bucks and it runs android, so I'm sold.

As for your question TO, I'd recommend the Galaxy nexus or the Galaxy Note (its actually not bad considering the size, I like it a lot)

I have to admit that I was going to go this way after hearing some people talk about the Galaxy phones... until I heard others complaining about constant crashes and having to wait months on end for upgrades.

I just find it hard to believe that Apple could make such a shitty phone when their computers are top-notch (IMO).

I've used Motorola phones for the past 10 years (Razr, Krazr) and now have a pretty basic Samsung and I've never had any problems with dropped calls on any of them (maybe a couple of isolated incidences).... Are people really finding that the I-Phone drops calls on a daily basis? Or did Claudius just get a lemon?

I'm a ROGERS customer too btw.

Nobody that i know that has an iphone has had problems with dropped calls. My girlfriend wouldn't change her iphone if someone gave her another phone. I guess it's all just luck in a way. You could get a lemon no matter what phone you choose. Besides, Apple has amazing customer service and if you have problems they'll replace it.

LOL... it's pretty frustrating trying to talk to people about this because EVERYONE seems to have such a strong like/dislike for the 3 different brands.

Maybe I should just say fug it and stay with a basic "stone age" cell lol.

Then something else will come along that's better than both and we'll all be in the same boat with everyone telling us we're behind the times. Then we'll all scramble to get whatever is deemed better. Phones these days are used more for everything other than the actual phone. lol

Again this is what people are led to believe in by media, same like iphone. Mac's are not better, than windows computers. For the price you are paying for mac you can get pc with wayyy better specs. And if you dont like windows you can install Linux. (or like me dual boot, love it)

I like my Iphone.

I'm not a crazy app-user or anything. It's very useful when tethering my phone and it acts as an IPod for all my music. Convenient if you ask me. I'm fairly certain everyone experiences dropped calls...whether its because of phone, carrier or location, it's inevitable.

I definitely dig the newer Nexus type phones too. Great stuff. If only they had a similar quality screen as the Iphone, it'd be exceptional.

In the end it all depends on what you plan to do with your phone and how you like your phone to look.

The Iphone and a few select phones that run Droid I'd consider to be the best.

Now if someone can just replicate BB's e-mail client...

honestly Mac's are a pain in the ass. you have to covert files you can play on a PC, reformat external hard drives and you can't even use a conventional HDMI cable. Have to buy 2 sets of everything.
and I'm mainly a Mac user right now
but they do run smoother than PC's

Smoothness is only operating system not the machine itself. Thats why I'm saying if you don't like windows can always get linux which is free (mac's OS is also based on linux)

I've seen this debate many, many times.... and I used to be a PC user myself. I've owned my Macbook for over 2 years now though and it works as well as the day that I took it out of the box. I could NEVER say that with any PC that I bought in the past. No lag. No crash. No virus. No blue screen of death.

For me it was absolutely worth the extra money to eliminate all of those problems.

Again this is all based on operating system, you overpay for machine that is not worth the money. Mac's OS don't get viruses and all other junk that windows do (for now) Linux doesn't either (for now). OS is pretty much free so why overpay 1000 bucks or so?

thats the positive. the problem is you have spend 2x the time converting files, etc...
that bothers me since I torrent a whole bunch of stuff, but for others I guess it isn't a huge drawback.

Overpay $1000? My Macbook cost me $1150.

It's been absolutely worth the money for me... because it works like a charm and does everything that I need it to. No hassles. Maybe NOW PC's operating systems have advanced to the point where they're not a pain in the ass but that wasn't the case when I bought my Mac. And after the bullshit that I went through with my last 3 PCs I was done with them as a consumer.

I guess it all depends on what you do on your comp. I've never converted a file and never used a torrent. Meets my needs.

Its just an example some Macs cost well over 2000, and no windows still suck but you can install whatever you like...

my first macbook lasted me over five years and the only problem i had with it was that the battery had run it's life. never an issue with software or handware and never an issue with having to convert torrents or anything of the sort. the only drawback is that some companies don't have compatible programs, and it's their loss since the can be found open source anyways.

when i hear people bitch about how they're a waste of money or too expensive, i think about the two or three non-mac's i would have to buy in that span while having to use shitty computer. it puts a smile on my face.
