thank you! I cant believe how many people don't actually think for themselves and just give up to the influence of marketing. And they overpay for inferior devices

Apparently there's a jailbreak for the Iphone 5 now, anyone try it? I'm have a jailbroken 4S but was wondering how stable it's looking on the 5.

The Blackberry is a joke among my age group now, you either have an S3, Iphone, or a Nexus if you got lucky with stock. RIM lost a long time ago.

RIM's back in the game with these phones. a lot of features on it that android and certainly apple don't have. add to that the fact that it's still the most secure phone most business that left will go back, most business planning on leaving won't, and it will get a lot of youth back. I really dig this release. I might even get one myself if they release another one when i'm updating my phone

I had the Blackberry Torch for a year before I went back to an Iphone. I could only see RIM coming back if large groups of people get on BBM again. And with apps like Whatsapp already on Android and Apple, it's only gets tougher.

Personally, my next phone in the summer is the S4 or Note 3, time for some power haha

I still fuck with a BB, but i'm not much of a "phone guy." I'd be fine with a non-smartphone tbh. Although BB has been slacking it's still pretty big in under-developed countries. When I went to Guyana in the summer everyone was on the BB wagon, im sure it's similar in other countries too.

I urge every iPhone 5 user to jailbreak your phone. Right now your device and user experience is crippled, you just don't know it.

Or just switch to Android.

Regular point and shoot camera's are almost going obsolete now since all new phones have camera's which are 8mp or over now. I wouldn't be surprised if 10-15 years down the line the same thing happens to SLR's/DSLR's.

That's the way it's heading. This will eventually happen to other things too, like stand-alone projectors.

New Blackberry hardware is not especially impressive but the OS is good and they do well in bench-marking (as with the iPhone, the hardware is only part of the equation). The downside to BB10 is that, despite the Android "port-a-thon", they still have a lot of ground to make up in apps, while Windows Phone is simultaneously adding to the demands upon developers for their apps. There is a lot of competition for developer's attention right now.

The Nexus 4 is interesting to me because of the price without a contract. It does actually have an LTE chip on-board which you can enable relatively easily (though it must be re-enabled every time the phone is powered on). Down-side is obviously the poor availability.

I was checking out the HTC One X+ today and I have to say that it's probably the best phone on the market right now. Even better than the S3 I'd have to say.

Still only 1 gig ram to the S3's 2 gigs. Thats a big difference. It takes about 600 mbs to run average softwares on these phones. If you have only 200 mbs left, multitasking can be slow.

I clear the ram on my S3 because I tinker. I have never had to because it has slowed down.

The Note II benchmarks as good or better, with much better battery life, larger screen, expandable storage, no Sense UI, and an extra input method.
