almost a month on the no-wheat diet and i'm getting great results...losing fat particularly around my face and stomach, noticeably higher energy levels throughout the day, I have a much easier time getting out of bed in the morning, and I'm just not as hungry over the course of the day as I used to be. I would recommend that anyone try it, although not before some thorough meal planning.

Wow, i've eaten there a few times since you told me about it a couple years ago. I always made a point to go there when i worked in the area. That's sad.

hopefully just renovating or maybe moving (rent on bloor must be tough on a shawarma shop). surprised that there is no signage at all though... not a good scenario.

Yeah, that doesn't sound good. Hopefully just renovations though.

I received a promotion in the kitchen I work in today and celebrated with a delicious 3 course meal!

Appetizer - Crispy pork belly confit and frisée salad
with blood orange vinaigrette and molasses au jus

Main - Pan roasted sea scallops with braised oxtail
and green pea risotto, leek fondue and
sweet carrot gastrique

Dessert - Flash fried dark chocolate
and red raspberry ravioli
with hibiscus caramel de leche

what do you do for breakfast? I mean, you can't eat eggs every single day can you?

and where do you find the time to cook?

awesome. my bro has done that the last couple of years with the thanksgiving turkey, with a couple of differences. he opened out the legs to create more of a square, layered it with traditional thanksgiving stuffing, and he then folded it twice, rather than rolling it, to build a large rectangle. it was great because you just cut slices rather than having to carve a turkey.

in terms of the deboning, i'm going to try just puling the meat off that way. my knife skills blow, so this would be a lot easier.

My Girlfriend is taking me to Jump Restaurant tomorrow night for a belated birthday dinner. Has anyone been there, any recommendations?
