For lunch today, I had homemade garlic bread, sliced some fresh buffalo mozzarella on top and a little bit of homemade bruschetta on top of that. Simple, yet, delicious.

The new President's Choice 'Street Dog' with accompanying bun? Killer. Dave Nichol's still alive, but he's rolling in his Memories of Kobe sauce after this one.

Anyone know of a really good Korean BBQ restaurant in the GTA? Looking to take my GF for her birthday in a couple weeks, we love Korean BBQ and i'd like to take her somewhere different. I've heard Chako restaurant is pretty good, anyone been?

Haven't been to Chako or even heard of it.

Did you hear about the Korean Grill House? There's 3 spots downtown. You can cook the food yourself or order from the menu and buffet.

Yeah, from what i know every Korean BBQ restaurant gives you that option. But i've only been to two different restaurants. Thanks for the info, looks good.

The Stockyards Smokehouse & Larder. 699 St.Clair Ave. West. Holy freaking crap. Fried chicken with fries - side of coleslaw and hot sauce - amazing. The ball and chain had the pulled pork sandwich, also amazing.

i just had a boston cream donut from Coffee time. I gotta say this donut was way better than tim hortons offerings. way better.

So... of all the big chains: who do you guys thinks makes the best donuts?

Krispy Kreme by far imo. Tim Horton's donuts are pretty bad.

That somehow makes them less tasty? For me they are the best donuts out there that I've had. I'm not a big donut guy, and haven't had a Krispy Kreme in over a year. But I'll stick by that opinion.

i like timmy's the best, by a pretty wide margin. krispy kreme's are too greasy and way too sweet for me. i don't enjoy them at all. coffee time can be ok, but i find they are usually not as fresh as timmy's.

Champ is a good deal IMO. Don't eat much Korean food but the place is cheap for all you can eat. You have to cook it yourself btw

Timmies is a hit and miss, like I said I don't eat many donuts. That being said I usually get a timmies donut because I'm always there for coffee. And there's only 2 locations that I know of for Krispy Kreme. But I still prefer Krispy Kreme's plus they seem fresher. Timmie's freezes their donuts and at times you can tell.

Not a huge doughnut guy, but there's a place in St. Catharines called Homestead Donuts that makes them fresh on the spot. Hands down the best I've ever had.

Nope, wasn't aware of that one. The only two I knew of were the one On Mavis in Mississauga, and the other was in North York just north of the 401. Not sure of the nearest intersction though.

Krispy Kreme are my favourite, especially when hot. And the glazed kreme filled is insanely good. I haven't had any in ages because I tend to devour way too many. Same with Cinnabon. It's usually better to keep both out of the house. Tim Hortons used to be good, until they started making them off site and trucking them to their locations.

I actually really like those glazed buttermilk ones they sell in the plastic container at the grocery stores. They're kinda like Entenmann's.
