I made something quite simple and delightful last night.

Rosemary Pasta in a Garlic Butter Sauce

6 tablespoons salted butter, divided
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
6 cloves garlic, coarsely chopped
1 cup chicken stock
2 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary
1 (16 ounce) package fettuccine
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
salt and cracked black pepper

Wow really. I don't hate Roti either it's just that I like rice so much more. I don't eat it too much maybe like 2-3 times in a week. Goat is awesome though. I like butter chicken too yummmmmm

any idea why thise recipie calls for salted butter? in my experience using salted butter for cooking is dangerous because if you fuck up or modify any of your other ratios you run the risk of over-salting your food. i always, always cook things first and then season to taste afterwards(with the exception of salting meat before roasting or grilling). you can't go wrong that way.

not meaning to say the recipie is wrong, just curious if there was a reason given for using salted butter. it would be new to me.

It called for unsalted and I changed it. It worked so well that I wouldn't want to try it the 'proper' way. I tend to under-salt out of a fear of over-salting and the salted butter is safe. I just added salt to the pasta.

I do the same with my world-famous peanut butter cookies, which is a modified Joy of Cooking recipe. Works.

Just moved to Scarborough a month ago and i'm wondering if anyone knows if there are any good Indian restaurants in this area. I love Kamasutra and Amaya reataurants but it's too far now....any suggestions?

I dont know about Indian, but for west Indian try Roti Hut on Pitfield road. It's pretty close to Scarborough Town Centre. Boneless goat roti ftw.
