get a sedan, a coupe isn't worth the added insurance at our age, really, at any age.

If you have 5 years of experience with your legit drivers licence with no accidents you get some discounts on insurance. I was eligible for it this year but I didn't know.

oh man i have had the most frustrating few weeks when it comes to my car.

I have had this issue with my MAF sensor for basically a few years now. Problem isn't so bad in the winter, but it's really bad in the summer. I've taken it to various mechanics and nothing. no one can diagnose it. Bascially car sputters and sometimes dies on low idle at a stop. When i unplug and reconnect the sensor my problem gets fixed for a little while (1 to 3 days). Well about a month ago i decided enough is enough i am going to take it to my new 'really good mechanic who specializes in VW's'. He'll fix it FOR SURE. Well first he replaced a the sensor. Problem came back within a few days. Took it back to him... next he replaced the ignition coil which was cracked. Tells me 100% gauranteed this is the problem. True the car runs better now... but on the way home the car's idle starts sputtering. Dies on me twice the next day.

HOLY FUCK. i am at the end of my rope.

picked up a copy of Lemon Aid used car buyers guide earlier today and i'll be hitting up some dealerships soon.

I drive cars for living, so just my 2 cents
Mazda 6 2013 is a very nice Car if You want something smooth and maneuverable. I would go with a Passat though, much more thrill, especially when you switch it in to the sport mode and let those RPM's go up!

Isn't the CX-5 about the same size as the CR-V

Mazda 5 is a pretty nice family car. I would stay away from sentra, Altima much better choice imo.
Dont know your budget ,but: Mitsubishi rvr, Ford edge/explorer, Volvo CX 60/70, Volvo C30
If you want to go cheaper look in to Camry/Corolla they are amazing on gas and very fun easy to drive

my brother just went out and bought a year old mini with 20000 km for 22 k. as a result, I am now the owner of a 2000 honda accord that's been with the family since the first month we got here

sure it's not a mini cooper, or the jetta that I want, but it's something that'll take me from point a to point b WHENEVER i WANT

Camry's are overrated on gas. My mom has a 2009. I think it's because the body is so big and the engine is only a 2.4.

Just don't get a RDX. There is hardly any leg room/headroom in the back seats, visibility is terrible, and the rear doors are super narrow so it's a bitch to get in.
