wow what a piece of shit Paranormal Activity 2 was, and this is coming from a guy who doesn't really watch horror movies.

It's 20 mins of boring, one huge noise that causes a woman in the back to yell loud, then another 20 mins of boring footage, then another huge noise to scare people. Do people really find that scary? Yea it does shock you for a second but people find this stuff scary?

2/10

only highlight was watching this cute girl a few seats away screaming her ass off at the end

I take it you didn't see the first?

Also did you see how much money it took to make those movies? Not much. So it probably not going to be the greatest movie. I think me, you, and a few other people could almost make the same thing if we had just a little bit of extra $$$ in our pockets. lol

If you want to watch a good horror movie watch the Exorcist 1973 version at night and alone.

Again, I'll say REC is the scariest movie I have seen.

another film i love is Nosferatu (1922)...unauthorized adaptation of Bram Stoker's Dracula...names and other details were changed because the studio could not obtain the rights to the novel

do yourselves a favour and check it out if you haven't already seen it...for a silent film, it's brilliantly creepy

Exorcist is great. My favorite horror movie ever made is Dario Argento's Suspiria. Good story and overall really cool artistic approach.

Claudius, what is REC? I can't figure that acronym out.

Fancy it stands for Record (hitting the record button).

It's been adapted here as Quarantine but this one is far more intense in my opinion.

Here is some info on it:

oh gotcha. looks interesting.

also while we're talking about Horror films i should probably mention 28 days later. For me it's certainly up there as one of the greatest horrors ever made.

I really enjoy 28 days later. Great take on the 'zombie' film.

A movie we watched on Saturday night at my friends house:

Noroi

A documentary filmmaker explores seemingly unrelated paranormal incidents connected by the legend of an ancient demon called the "kagutaba."

Another shout for 28 days later. Very haunting music soundtack is what sticks out for me.

Finally watched Iron Man 2 last night...definitiely not as good as the first..not enough Downey Jr wit but I enjoyed it. 7/10

The Back-Up Plan: Decent date movie. 6.5/10

I havent seen it. They say is pretty good. I saw REC 2 the other day, it was one of the most annoying movies I have seen in a while. Not scary at all.

Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage

Excellent (except for Billy Corgan yammering on like he does far too often). For some reason, I always thought Geddy was a bit of an ass, but he and Alex are super with their fans and really quite funny. Neil, on the other hand, is a little odd when it comes to his stardom.
