Machete - 9/10(if you like Rodriquez' style). Awesome violence, women and porn music...what else do you need in a movie?

TagsUncharted 2: Among Thieves (PS3) I Heart Huckabees and Three Kings director David O. Russell has retaken the director's chair for the in-progress Hollywood adaptationn of the game franchise, Uncharted.

Russell had originally been attached to the project but had moved off to work on a film version of the fictional work Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. It appears that Russell has now come full circle and has signed up again for directoriall duties on the Uncharted film.

The film Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is due for release sometime in 2013. We can only hope our prayers of Nathan Fillion as Nathan Drake are answered by then.

Watched She's Out of my League - thought it would be horrible, but it wasn't so bad. I probably won't ever watch it again, but it had its moments. Cute.

The Road starring Viggo Mortensen.

Brilliant, terrifying, depressing, sad and, oddly, a very sweet father/son flick. Not as typical as the trailer would have you believe.

The "Back to the Future" trilogy is hitting Blu-ray on October 26 (details here) and a first look at the original Marty McFly, Eric Stoltz, from the set is now online thanks to The Hollywood Reporter.

Watched The Runaways.

Thought I'd hate it, because I liked the band (hell, I have their lyrics on my avatar here)and I don't like Dakota Fanning. Also didn't think Kristen Stewart could pull of Joan Jett.

It was pretty good. Stewart did I a good job, and so did Fanning (even though I still don't like her). It was directed by Floria Sigismondi, and she's awesome... so I guess that helped.

7.5/10

watched "This is England" over the weekend.

To use one of LX's analogy's, here's a film that leaves you feeling like you were punched in the gut or in this case kicked in the head.

Still it's really good. Same director has made a TV series called "this is England '86". I should probably get around to that one too.

Watched He's Not That Into You.

Yeah, yeah, don't ask.

It sends the message that pretty much all relationships are doomed to be shit, so you probably shouldn't bother unless you're the "exception". Uplifting stuff.

I rate it 4 cheating husbands out of 10 obsessive women.

A Team - 8/10: I really liked it. Lots of hommage to the original. Sharlto Copely was awesome as murdock...his impression of William Wallace had me in stitches Just a good fun action movie.

my question is why you would watch those three movies in succession? you'd think might want to throw one in there somewhere that had even a remote chance of being slightly good...haha

Oh long plane trips. So painful. When I went to South Africa one of the movies I watched was actually Rush Hour 3. It was painful. I still cant understand how Polansky accepted a role in that movie.

haha.... i too was on a plane trip where they played Rush hour 3 a couple of years ago. Half way through the movie the sound died and i was pissed off as i was enjoying it.

Rush hour 3 is like the perfect plane movie for me. just stupid, mindless action and entertainment. just what i'm in the mood for when it comes to killing time.

btw, Roman Polanski had a role in it? seriously? i totally don't remember.
