I can't believe this turned into something that doesn't suck. Never would've believed it. Guess I'll have to go see it at some point!

For once there's a bunch of movies in the theatre that I actually want to see - all with great reviews. Rare.

gotta disagree with this
a couple of films off the top of my head ...The Soloist, Tropic Thunder, Zodiac, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and of course Chaplin..shows incredible range in all of these

his portrayal of Stark is perfect because when it comes right down to it, Tony Stark IS a douche-bag

Killers - 7.5 / 10. Very funny with a surprising amount of action and combat scenes. Good date movie and Katherine Heigl is never hard to look at. (for the women, Kutcher has buffed up big time as well).

Twilight and New Moon - meh..5's. Downloaded them to see what the hype was about and I really dont' get it. I'm hoping this is a case where the books are way better than the movies. I don't get all the hype about Robert Pattinson...he doesn't seem very talented to me...he's whiny and unconvincing. He's trying to act like Johnny Depp but isn't fooling me. The chick isn't very good either...I see why the Vampires Suck spoof happened...I should just have watched that Special effects are okay but the wolves don't really look all that good. Music is on the whole ... bad. I just don't see why these movies are so popular. Maybe i am finally getting old??

So i watched Deep Red (Profondo Rosso) this weekend. It came very highly recommended and is supposedly Dario Argento's greatest film. Given that i was totally disappointed. Story line was interesting, but fell very short. The flipping of Italian to English and back was weird and pointless. Suspiria was wayyyyyy better.

5/10.

Watched Monster's Ball for the second time last night when I couldn't sleep. Excellent. And you really can't go wrong with Halle Berry naked in a sex scene. I mean, it's with Psycho Billy Bob, which brings it down a notch, but still.

I saw it last night and enjoyed it. Yeah, you're right, Eisenberg is brilliant in this one. I'm used to seeing him play a different type of nerdy character. I also liked the young woman from BU, although she only has a couple of scenes. The opening scene in the bar is really great. Regardless of one's opinions towards facebook, and regardless of the factual accuracy of the film, the movie itself is an interesting look at the psychology that drives the Zuckerberg character. For the real Zuckerberg's sake, I hope this story is waaaay off, otherwise no amount of success is ever going to make this dude genuinely happy.

Oh, and the soundtrack is awesome.

Watched a bunch of quality films this week:

The Town:
great acting and directing. 9/10

Social Network:
I didn't know what to expect but the acting from Eisenberg was impressive, script was great and Fincher can direct a movie. 9/10

Inside Man:
Picked up the blu ray yesterday, haven't seen the ending yet, finished like a hour and a half but it's an impressive movie. 9/10 and I haven't even finished it yet lol
