grown ups

didn't really seem like a movie to me...just a bunch of friends chilling and cracking jokes...don't think a script was even involved in this movie, just a lot of improv...laughed at a few parts but some parts were so random and stupid

5/10

Green Zone

7.5/10

Pretty good movie. Not a Matt Damon fan except the Bourne movies and movies like this for some reason.

YouTube - BLADE RUNNER - I've seen things
directors cut.

if you watch the original cut its so much more darker and fight scenes are longer, but still a good movie.

btw, "Miracle at St. Anna" is meh.

3 / 10

I saw PREDATORS on Friday when it came out. Really nice casting, and is actually a nice homage to the classic original. They used a lot of the original music, and had some nice crossover in key scenes duplicating camera angles and conventions with a different cast. My friends and I actually had some beers, watched the original, and then caught the late show premiere.
Very entertaining with a nice blend of sci-fi, gore, and cinematography.
The Yakuza vs. Predator scene in the moonlit high grass was awesome!

Go and see it. ClingEbert recommends it highly!

re: Predator. I finally watched Predator 2 last week after having it sit in my PVR for months. Totally one of those awful/totally awesome movies. I gather most people consider it a complete joke even if they like the Predator series.

another movie i saw in the same 'style' was Road House. Patrick Swayze is a tough guy bouncer with a philosphy degree. This film really had some of the most ridiculous lines and scenes ever made. Truly, truly terrible.

Another one that i have waiting in the PVR is double team starring JC Van Damme and dennis Rodman. I saw years ago, but totally forgot the whole thing. Sure to be up my alley now i reckon.

Roadhouse is a classic... Swayze - kicking ass and taking names - in a cut off t-shirt with his big bulbous head and flailing arms = pure awesomeness.

From Paris With Love

honestly don't know where to start with this film...by-the-numbers slog, pumped up, lousily shot and malevolently brutish with a nasty undercurrent of racism
do yourselves a favour and just walk by it next time you're at your local video store...4/10

Yup I watched this a few days ago. Its funny because its full of known comedians on cast. Its a movie meant to have a laugh and go home. I wouldn't really read into it much more. When they did Arrow Roulette I laughed out loud

MAD Max Triology! The action sequences are awesome, and so are the villains. the second installement has one of the best car chase scenes i've seen.

The third one was by far the worst in the series. Ironically, Mel is playing the part well nowadays, the guy is MAD when it comes to chicks

i haven't seen the first one in a long time - since i was a kid. don't remember much of what happened at all. Road Warrior is on TV every now and then so i watched that one pretty recently. It's awesome. Still love the fact that one of the main villians is the same guy as Bennet from Commando.
