I would highly highly recommend 'Growing Op' a lowish budget Canadian movie filmed i think in New Brunswick. Quality acting for sure altho nobody i ever heard of, kind of a wee bit quirky with lots of ackward funny moments. Didnt have too many expectations before watching as i'd never heard of it but it really was enjoyable. So many plants, so many..

Been busy watching a few movies lately...

Old Boy - 9/10
Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance - 8/10
Sympathy for Lady Vengeance - 8.5/10
Ichi the Killer - 7.5/10
Taken - 8.5/10
Slumdog Millionaire - 8.5/10

I really recommend the first 3 on the list for anyone who likes movies about revenge... Taken is a great one too in that genre.

Ichi the Killer is a japanese movie, fairly violent (made me cringe a few times) but the story went a little slow for me.

Park is brilliant. Twisted, but just an outstanding writer/director.

I concur. I'm thinking of checking out some of his other movies, do you have any recommendations?

In Bruges - 8/10

Funny movie. Some really awkward moments and a ton of midget bashing. All in all a great flick, although you might think its really weird.

Watched Karate Kid I. Brought me back to my youth. 9/10

Sex and the City: 5/10.

Ten Commandments: 10/10. Classic film, great soundtrack, Yul Brynner is just fun to watch. Simply enjoyable.

i wanted to watch ong bak 2, don't know if anyone's heard of it, the first came out a long time ago and it had a lot of crzy action in it...didn't get a chance but I did finally watch Madagascar 2 lol...a lot of funny moments, and King Julian (Sacha Baron Cohen), and the penguins killed it(in a good way)

^^Lol ya i watched Ong bak a few years ago too...sikkkkkkk movie, surprisingly a friend of mine picked up the bootleg dvd in Sri Lanka when he went on vacation there back in gr7 (about 4 years ago) ...Ong bak 2 however, is a 600 year old prequel to the first. Not really connected at all but I will say that the action is still fcking sikkkkkk 7/10
Also watched Zack and Miri make a Porno yesterday...pretty jkz, some of the lines in the movie r fcking jkz and Kevin Smith is a great director but the movie gets a lil too mushy sometimes imo ...7.5/10

Yes Man - say yes to the movie lol, follows the basic structure of other romance-comedies but great performances from Jim Carrey and Zooey (forgot her last name)

8/10

Sunset Park -- 8/10 Really, it's not a great movie, but it brings me back to Grade 8 when all we would watch is that movie to get psyched for a game, or a game of pick up or whatever.

Death at a Funeral

8.5/10

Absolutely hilarious. The classic dry humoured British movie about a funeral that goes wrong on so many levels. I would really recommend this to anyone who wants a good laugh.
