I liked Pacific Rim.

Btw - i referred to Cougan's brilliance. Of course i meant Coogan. That was the canadian spelling.

Pacific Rim would have been great... if I was a little kid. But alas those days are over. I'm a big fan of Godzilla and stuff. So I did like all the giant fight scenes in it. But the movie had too much of a Mighty Morphin Power Rangers aspect to it. Definitely could have used a touch more Ron Perlman. I give it a C+

pacific rim was made to be like an anime movie and in that context i think it was pretty spot-on. if you went into that movie expecting the matrix or terminator, then yeah it's gonna come off as pretty hokey. anime stuff has sort of an inherent hokiness to it though so the way the movie turned out was definitely intentional.

You clearly didn't smoke enough.
The goal of Pacific Rim was to completely turn your brain OFF.
Then the movie is excellent.
If, at any point, you think about what is happening, you lose.

Watched another movie today... Short Term 12, and it was very beautiful movie. Gave a deep, powerful look at troubled you and how it affects their lives. A+

If any of you do torrents, there are all the latest films available as dvd screeners.

That's what a friend said anyways.

I found American Hustle ok..I can see the appeal with the superb acting and all, but I didn't love it. 7/10 for me.

Wolf of Wall Street- 9/10. Pure entertainment. Leo proved once again how great of an actor he is, and Jonah Hill was absolutely hilarious. Margot Robbie may be the hottest actress in Hollywood, woowee.

Maybe, maybe not. It looks interesting.

American Hustle is pretty good. Even if you're not a fan of that type of movie the whole cast is too good.

Would also like to see:

12 Years a Slave (despite how sad it probably is)

Dallas Buyers Club
