"Prisoners" - 9/10 flick. One of the best I've seen in a while. Great acting and a compelling story with some good twists. Jackman's performance may earn him an Oscar nod.

"Gravity" - 4/10. I don't know why I keep watching Sandra Bullock movies.... I just can't stand her. All the personality of a wet noodle. I was much more interested in Clooney's character.
Watched Prisoners today. Meh//

7/10

You're the only person that I know that has watched it that's said "meh" about it.

Just watched that newest Superman movie
complete garbage, gets an F

The movie suffers from serious shaky camera syndrome. Superman's dad rides a bug. A spatter of big actors does no good for this flick. What is wrong with DC comics? Highly disappointed.

Indeed. Prisoners was fucking awesome, despite me figuring out the twist 3/4 through the movie.

Lone Survivor - 9/10

Wish I knew that there was a book before I saw the movie. I'm not much for war movies but this one had me from beginning to end. A tribute to the human spirit.... and based on a true story too.

Hobbit:The Desolation Of Smaug

CGI was a bit wonky at times but this is an easy 8.5/10...if you're a fan of the books, this is a must see...cant wait for the 3rd

Elysium

after seeing District 9 a few years back, i was excited to see Blomkamp back in the director's chair once again...what a letdown
a very disappointing 6/10

Despicable Me 2

as most know, i love animated films...and this one was no exception
not as good as the first one, but still an easy 7.5/10
you just can't go wrong with Steve Carell and Minions

Saw Man of Steel. It was better than Superman Returns but it just had so many flaws. Giant meh for me - I'll give it a 6-7 out of 10. Don't know what the hell DC are thinking and then B.Affleck as Batman...

Yeah. Storyline was just, arrgggh. A lot of backstory. They tried to do the whole - he's dark, it's realistic, he's an outcast, etc. but they didn't do it right or well. Superman is supposed to be serious but light as well.

I just watched Don Jon. I liked it a lot. It's far from a dumb movie IMO. The Esther character alone makes the movie not dumb.

The dumbest movie I've watched recently is "Ernest Scared Stupid" :cookie:

Totally agree about Man of Steel -- shit movie.

I watched the first Hobbit movie recently, pretty entertaining. Probably gonna wait for the new one to come out on blu ray though.

Watching the Hobbit prompted me to watch the LOTR trilogy. Pretty sick movies imo, waited like 10 years to watch 'em lol. Sam is the man.

Elysium kind of stunk. I expected way cooler stuff. What's up with the phony accent by Jodie Foster?
I'd give it a D

Just got Pacific Rim, I know everyone hated it. But to each his own. Got some good herb, maybe that will help?
