Student prices!?! We don't have those here so I only go to movies on Tuesday's (cheap night) where a regular showing is $7 and 3D is $10.

Otherwise $14 for a movie, or $20 for a movie in 3D is pretty ridiculous.

World War Z
It was a big meh for both Sue and myself (and Sue is a huge Zombie fan)...first half was good but the 2nd half killed all the momentum
Acting was solid, effects were good but the 3D was a waste of time imo

Can't give it anymore than a 6.5/10

If you want a REALLY good zombie story...read the book

Anyone seen Pacific Rim yet? I hear it's not a good movie to see in 3d or imax. Is this true?

Pacific Rim- 5.5/10

Most of the acting sucked besides Idris Elba, and the story was trash. The action scenes were cool at the start then it was basically the same thing from the halfway part of the movie onward and it was boring.

Going to see The Conjuring on Saturday. Hearing great things! No better movie experience then being terrified with 50+ people in a dark theater.

Movies like that are usually a disappointment. The last time a saw a decent horror movie at the theatre was The Strangers, and even then. Ultimately I find horror movies these days lacking, and there are far too many ghost/haunting movies these days.

I feel like the past few years have been the best the horror genre has seen since the early 80's. With movies like the first few Paranormal Activities, Sinister, Insidious.

Paranormal activities was a joke imo. Never saw sinister or insidious.

That is the only horror movie that looks appealing to me in years. Maybe because it's apparently a true story.

They've said the Conjuring will be this generation's or like a modern Poltergeist - which - if true even somewhat - I'm intrigued. I don't really like "horror" movies but I love Poltergeist - great film.

Anywho, saw Prometheus. 6-6.5 out of 10.

I really don't know what to think of the film honestly. It explored some interesting philosophical questions and questions about humanity, etc. However it was pretty slow I found and for some of the film I was just like ok - and, so? Still don't know what to think of it. MF and NR were pretty good leads though.

Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father

It's a decent documentary about a true story that will frustrate the hell out of you.
