Same.

On top of the fact that nearly everything I download there regardless of quality goes at speeds of 3-5 Mbps.

What are some private communities?

I've used PB for years. Demonoid was my private choice, but it pooched.

I hate leaving my 'puter on to seed to build the ratio.

PB FTW! You just have to be smart and a bit patient. And read the comments. They out any fake or crap torrents.

I use Kick Ass Torrents (kat.ph)
Works perfectly well.
I avoid pirate bay because it's too main stream and usually you have to dodge people uploading garbage, haven't ran into that yet on KAT.

Whenever I search for torrents, Kick Ass seems to always have them. I should let them try to be my regular torrent site.

Ah okay. I haven't seen Place Beyond the Pine or Mud, so I can't rate those into my best of the year.

Star Trek was great...although i feel they need to move away from old storylines...hopefully they wiil do just that with the new 5 year mission

So many mixed reviews for Man of Steel that i honestly don't know how i'll react to it...Sue and I will get around to seeing it during the next couple of weeks

I was stranded in Bolton for 5 hours and the only movie me and my buddy had not seen was Man o' Steel.

It's no secret I am tired of all the comic book retreads, so I went in with low expectations.

The first 75% of the movie was great! All the Krypton back story was finally fully developed. Great acting from everyone. And then it turned into a comic book movie.

The line after the kiss almost ruined the whole movie. It was like the producer said "I let you make your movie, now give me the cliches!"

Special effects were through the roof amazing, but thats par for the course.

Overall, I enjoyed the movie. Unlike the last two IronMans which I turned off half way through.

7/10

I watched Michael Haneke's White Ribbon. It was on tvo. It should spur me on to watch a few more of his that I've downloaded. It's set in a small town in Germany before wwI. It's a very tightly controlled environment that seems to unravel inexplicably, but the controls undoubtedly play a part in it. It's a long ass black and white movie with subtitles and a puzzle rather than a clear cut resolution at the end, so I can imagine not many will go near it. But it is masterful, and will draw you in if you put in the work. I loved how mic'd up the floor boards in the old creaky houses were, offering a sense of an impending unravelling. At one point early on there is a march to a father's study with a steady creak creak shuffle shuffle. A fetching of a switch with the same amped up sounds. Then a door closes and we see just the door in a sudden silence that is broken by the sound of the switch and the shriek following each blow. From there, beneath the surface, there is a steady hidden subverting and weakening of authority, and signs of the impacts of evil, although it's difficult to make out the ultimate source of that evil, nor the ends it aims for. It offers a lot to think about, much like cache.

Man of Steel
Sue and i had bought tickets to see World War Z last night but when we got there the theater people informed us they were having trouble with the film so they cancelled the show...we were a little pissed but decided to go across the hall to see Man of Steel instead
there were things i really liked and things that really disappointed us about the film
the "jerky" camera motion was a really poor decision by Snyder imho...and the incredible score by Zimmer (which had such an impact on the trailer) was barely noticeable throughout the film as well
but the biggest disappointment for me was the fact that it lacked what (imo) is essential to any Superman story...heart

can't give it anymore than a 6.5/10

Canada is pretty relaxed when it comes to downloading. Companies start to monitor what you download if you dl a lot. They are more concerned with file sharing and uploading copyrighted material. I never seed when I torrent.

You can use a tunneling VPN service if you want.

Just download as much as you can until you get your first warning YOLO
