^ it's a remake. I remember watching the original on showcase like a decade ago. It's even better, except it's in Spanish so you have to read sub-titles.

Really? I'll search it up.

And a serious Nicholas Cage movie for a long time:

The Amazing Spiderman

By far the best Spiderman movie to date. The others have been pretty horrible imo.

8/10

I don't usually like most super hero/comic book movies and other than the recent Batman movies I don't care. But it was on the movie channel today and I watched it. I was pretty impressed.

Killing Them Softly

8/10

Better than expected. Good performances by Brad Pitt and James Gandolfini.

Did you see Django or the new Star Trek, best two movies of the year imo.

I'm looking forward to seeing Mud one it comes out on piratebay. Its no longer in theatres here.

From the movies I've seen so far this year, I'd have to agree that Star Trek was the best.

World War Z
7.8 It was pretty good, way different than a book, much more action packed, but had some creative ideas. Could have been little better, but overall pretty good

Now you see me
6.9 There were are a lot of parts that will make you say, uhmm really..? The overall idea is pretty good, but the grand finale is dumbed down so much that it is little insulting to the audience.. Worth one time watch

Man of Steel

I liked it, wouldn't bother comparing it to the Dark Knight. Good buildup first half and the action sequences were some of the best I've seen so far in 3D. Zod was a solid antagonist, well acted for sure. And there were hints for the 2nd movie.

Saw WWZ last night.

Great visually. But the story was watered down to be VIRUS- ZOMIES!- FIGURE OUT CURE- HAPPY EVER AFTER.

Us Zombie lovers all know that story line. We expect that to be the skeliton of the movie...not the whole movie. No underlying stories or sub plots. Disapointing.

Saw a doc called Beauty is Embarrassing. It's about Wayne White, a pop artist whose work is featured in my avatar. He worked on the puppets on Pee Wee's Playhouse, and is a pretty cool guy to have made a name for himself by just being good at drawing and drawn to creativity of all kinds. The doc is a rather creative look at white's life and work in and of itself.

I don't get why people who torrent things haven't moved on to real torrent sites and away from trash like piratebay... Get in with one of the sites that you have to actually contribute to (seed an even ratio with what you DL) and are private community type of things.

You get way better quality content, and way faster.

I'm not trying to say theres anything terribly wrong with pirate bay, just theres WAY better options if you go look. I dunno I just hate waiting for how long it takes for them to get things.
