SF - I watched IM3 with my kids the other day.... gotta say, I thought that the "plot twist" you made mention of the other day (the controversial one with a particular character because of the deviation from comic book canon) was by far the best part of the movie.... great decision.

glad you liked it my friend
as for me, the comic book geek in me couldn't accept what they did to one of the best IM characters of all time (trying not to spoil anything here )

overall, i thought the movie was pretty good...in fact i would rate it 2nd out of the 3...but in the end it was a whole lot of woulda, coulda, shoulda for me

Last time I went to a drive in was to see George of the Jungle and Men in Black was playing behind us

to bad that place doesn't exist anymore. Colossus in Vaughan was built on top of that place.

The Corral 4 in Calgary featured regular showings of Death Race 2000, Russ Meyer films, and other shit I don't remember now, nor did I the next day.

I saw Into the Abyss by Herzog. I expected an anti-capital punishment take, but other than Werner stating his thinking regarding the wrongness of the state killing people, that's not so much where this doc goes. It mostly reveals a lot of what is otherwise invisible to us - the reverend that is there at the end, the officer in charge of carrying out the procedure, the underclass that fills the prisons while also feeling a big brunt of the effects of crime, and the family in a gated community with their own struggles. There's a feeling at the end that Life pushes through the attempts to conceal and contain all the messiness.

Fast and Furious 6- 6.9/10

Entertaining as always, but it seemed like Michael Bay was directing a lot of the scenes and decided to take ridiculous to a whole new level
