Saw the OZ movie last night as per wifeys request.

Constant orgasm of special effects and CGI....if that turns you on.

Story line was written by a 12 y/o I'm sure.

Acting was brutal. Kunis and Franco just dont have the depth to pull off cartoon characters.

Wife and I found ourselves looking at eachother with "WTF" face most of the movie.

5/10

Probably could have applied the exact same review 84 years ago to the original.

Have never understood the appeal. He seems to play the same role over & over again.

I give props to DiCaprio. That guy has some serious acting chops.

i think the biggest thing that holds him back is his voice. it's not bad, but you can't disguise it, so you always know its leo playing someone.

I don't know what those guys are smoking, but Will Smith is knowhere near the most beloved actor in the world. That's a joke.

Leonardo DeCaprio has more respect for sure.

Man, this is why you're frustrating. If you don't like they guy, that's cool. I don't particularly like him as a person, either. Especially when I hear him talk about scientology crap.

But the same role over and over? What? Yeah, he "saved the world", a bunch of times, or however you put last time you made this lame complaint, but he's also showed a lot of depth in a bunch of different characters. It's just that he's been in so many movies, and acted for so bloody long, that he's done multiple save the world pictures. But there's much more. Some good, some crappy, and some really amazing.

Oh hi Bill. Pleasure to see you again.

I'm well aware of Smith's films. If you like him and his movies then that's fine.... but don't try to tell me that he's some great actor... because he isn't. He chooses his films well. That's it.

"Six Degrees of Separation", "Pursuit of Happyness", "Enemy of the State" and "Legend of Bagger Vance" were probably the only films that he's done that have deviated from his "I'm the cool hero guy" role... and none of those were very impressive.

Compare that to Leo or Cruise or Pitt or Depp who can immerse themselves in a character and make you say "Whoa!".

I like a lot of Denzel's movies too (more than Smith's) but he's another one who does the same thing time after time after time. Great for them... they're good at what they do... I just prefer more versatility in actors.

Jamie Foxx has showed me more in short time than either of these guys when it comes to black actors.

Pretty psyched for this movie. The first one surprised me... didn't expect to like it as much as I did.

It's important that you pointed that out, because being nominated for multiple academy awards is not an accomplishment. You're only a good actor if you win. Everybody knows that.

Jennifer Hudson and Robin Williams have won oscars. Julianne Moore, Johhny Depp, Peter O'Toole have not. It's a pageant.

Will Smith set out to play heroic characters in big action movies. It was his goal to be seen as a big grossing star as much as a skilled dramatist, if not more so. He told Charlie Rose that he looked at what the top grossing films of all time were, and he decided those were the roles he was going to go after.

Can't argue with any of that. He's a smart man.... I just don't think he's talented.

Di Caprio hasn't won an Oscar which I find mind-blowing.
