Skyfall
pretty pumped before we watched this because we'd heard so many good things about it...must admit to being a little let down
still a very good movie though...DC is the man
if you haven't seen it yet, it's a great rental imho
solid 7.5/10

Watched Jiro Dreams of Sushi last night.

Great flick...I'd love to go there for a bite but I'd assume the cost is ludicrous.

I loved that one as well. Jiro is quite a character. The dedication exhibited by him and his sons, to always getting better was incredible to see. The fact that he's really had nothing else to his life than making sushi, and that was enough for him was cool. Such an authentic relationship with food.

It's kind of a scary idea to me.

The thought of committing your entire life to one purpose.

It seems like something just painfully poetic to me.

Gotta say though, his sush looked divine.

I'm kind of half watching the Oscars and they are doing all these tributes to musicals, and it makes me want to re-watch the best musical of the last decade.

It was cool to see "Searching for Sugar Man" won the Oscar for best documentary this year. I saw it a couple of weeks ago and loved it.

I loved "Jiro Dreams of Sushi " too. It made me want to become a vegetarian.

Ya that was pretty surreal. I thought that was a sure sign Zero Dark Thirty would win.

Yeah, it's not good. I also noticed how when they went through the best picture nominees throughout the night in 3s I believe, they had Argo, Lincoln and Zero Dark Thirty in the same group.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing (especially how that operation took place/was successful under Obama's administration). If Romney was elected though, Zero Dark Thirty and Argo would've won. Was shocked to hear in that award presented by Ted and Marky Mark that it was a tie.

Ya that was weird. Third tie in Oscar history I heard.

That new Batman was really really boring. I didn't think it was too bad until the very end. When there's frickin' 1:29 left on the clock for the nuclear weapon, and Cat Woman and Batman have themselves a sweet little after date kiss. Then Batman jumps into his hover thing, and then commissioner Gordan lazily strolls over to the side window, and asks Batman if he can get him a hazelnut milkshake on his way back into town. You wonder how much time ticked off that nuke? I went back and counted. 48 seconds. It took Batman 48 seconds from when he hooked the chain until he started his liftoff to save the city. I'm sorry, but that movie just lost it completely for me at the end.
