I loved katie holmes in this series. then again, I love her in any of her movies. great actress.

Also, Katie Holmes was better as Rachel than Gyllenhaal (which isn't saying much).
I don't think so at all. I think hathaway's very average. she's played 2 roles her entire career, the "i'm not hot girl (except she actually is)" or the actually hot girl and knows it role.

Out of the group I went with, quite a few were Anne Hatheway haters going into the movie, but I think everyone agreed she did a pretty good job in this movie. I actually wish she had more of a role in the film.

i thought she held her own in this film...but i still think Eva Green would have been much better
even though it was a really long mofo movie, we really enjoyed it
i had some minor issues with it, but overall i'd say it was incredibly well done

highly recommend seeing it if you haven't done so already...9/10

the thing that stood out most for me was the way Nolan made this Bruce Wayne's story...not Batman's
might sound weird but the best way (for me) to describe it is that instead of a really good comic book "movie"...this was a really good comic book "film"

if you enjoyed the first 2...then imho, this 3rd is a must

imho...to get the full experience for this movie ?...IMAX all the way
this film is massive in scope...certain IMAX scenes really put it over the top...and you MUST experience Hans Zimmer's score in IMAX...very powerful stuff !

just my opinion obviously

Would Dark Knight Rises still be good for someone who isn't into the whole comic book superhero thing? The only Batman I've watched the entirity of was Dark Knight..

yes. I'm not into comic books, never read one, and yet I loved all of these movies. watch begins before DKR though, it'll mean more.

Totally. But I suggest you watch Batman Begins before going. To fully appreciate the story in The Dark Knight Rises, you need to watch Batman Begins. Some of the scenes, and certain characters motivations, make more sense when understood in connection to the first movie. The movie will still make sense even if you don't watch BB; you just won't get the full benefit of the story. I'd like to say more but that would involve spoilers.

In my opinion, at least, this trilogy could stand alone without there ever being any comics or graphic novels or whatever. They're just good movies. If Batman had never been created as a comic, and after watching Memento I heard that Christopher Nolan was releasing "angry vigilante billionaire protecting his city" Part 1, 2, 3, I still would have enjoyed these movies. And so would thousands of others if they had bothered to see it, in that hypothetical scenario. The trilogy would just have a really lame title. Lots of people, possibly even the vast majority, watched these movies due to a solid familiarity with Batman's character, but thousands and thousands of people watched this trilogy in spite of its connection to Batman, not because of the connection. The movies were just so good that they brought people out, even if they didn't give a crap about comic book characters.

Not a review, just some news.

Quote:
Ice Cube got fans excited late last year, when he revealed that he was planning a new film in his classic Friday film series … and was reaching out to all the original cast, including Chris Tucker.

At the time, things were in the planning stages. However, in March, Cube revealed that the develop of the fourth film was moving along, but there was one snag, Chris Tucker was still unconfirmed. The rapper said he and Tucker had conversations about him reprising the role of “Smokey,” but he was not confirmed….

This week, AllHipHop.com posted a photo of Cube and Tucker together, reporting confirmation from the rap legend that Tucker is officially on-board and a new Friday film is in the works.

Fans have been waiting for years to see the pair reunite on screen, ever since they lit up the box office in the 1995 original. Since the first film, Tucker had been absent from its two sequels, 2000′s Next Friday and 2002′s Friday After Next.

Wow, you actually watched that? That's probably more funny than the movie itself.
