Will Smith - the Black Keanu Reeves - very funny. Also, I finally watched Drive. It was solid. Pretty good cast.

Red Tails - C
Special effects are outstanding. Some of the battles were terrific. But... there wasn't enough of them, way overboard on character building and boring ass shit, and the ending is extremely anti-climatic.

Amazing Spiderman - 9/10

Exactly what I always wanted a Spiderman movie to be. Wish they had never made those other ones.

I want to watch it. Did they mix ultimate and normal (aka better) marvel in this movie? I know they kept to the true origins and had him create the webbing.

went into this with a "ok, another reboot" attitude so i wasn't really expecting much...boy was i surprised
imho this was far superior in almost every way when compared to Raimi's Spider-Man
Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone were excellent...great chemistry between the two...the rest of the cast was top-notch as well
his "transition' was SO much better than Raimi's version
Marc Webb (director) nailed Parker's fighting technique (use of his webbing)...looked just like the comics
even though it's yet another Origin story, i highly recommend checking this out...it's VERY well done...count me on board for a 2nd installment...8.5/10

edit...Sue and I saw this in IMAX 3D

Watched the Tom Petty documentary this past weekend.

Super long (2 parts), but I really enjoyed it. Lots I didn't know about the dude & his career. I recommend it to anyone who is a Petty fan, even if only a fan of the hits... you'll likely dig his tunes more after watching.

My friend saw the new spiderman movie and he said he'd give it 11/10. I'm gonna go check it out next weekend.

Hmmm... might have to check out this new Spiderman if everyone's raving about it so much.... still haven't seen Avengers either.

I DID go and see "The Most Extraordinary Marigold Hotel for the Elderly & Beautiful".

STFU... my mom wanted to see it so I went with her ok?

It actually wasn't too bad. This obviously won't be a hit with the younger crowd but I thought that the story was pretty good and there were quite a few good actors in it.

- solid 7/10

Underworld Awakening - C

Lots of gore, bad acting, Kate Beckinsale is still hot, and there's an Ogre Werewolf which pushes this movie out of the D category.

I was so disappointed with that movie.....

Really liked the trilogy too. This one just sucked.

Yeah, pretty horrible. Ok concept but really poorly executed. Too bad, because i like Forest Whitaker.

Whitaker, Schreiber and Law were really good...there was also a really nice Canadian flavour to the cast as well (filmed in TO)
it was just a horribly executed storyline...and the ending was SO bad
