Ghostbusters 1: 9/10 -- Classic. Bill Murray is just awesome and Dan Akroyd as Ray Stanz was just great casting.

Ghostbuster 2: 7.5/10 -- Again, a classic for me as I was a huge Ghostbusters fan growing up and there are those funny moments in this one too. Part 1 though, is just awesome.

good stuff CG.
I love both movies. naturally part 1 is superior, but yeah - part 2 is still great.

Despite the exciting NBA game yesterday I chose to watch a childhood classic pretty much in it's entirety.

The Karate Kid was on channel 55.

Pretty good. i give it 7/10.

Some interesting points i rediscovered yesterday. Daniel was a bit of a tool. He was rude to his mother at times and could have shown more respect to Miyagi as well. Case in point: Miyagi builds him a birthday cake, gives him a kick ass present, AND a kick ass CAR, and Daniel just leaves the party after 5 minutes without even eating his cake. what the hell Daniel san!

Anyways, it was a fun movie to watch. I'm glad i watched it and not sports last night.

Little Rock Central : 50 years later

Saw this on last night on HBO. Really interesting hour long documentary on the Little Rock 9 and what's changed in 50 years. I won't go too deep into it, but really interesting comments from a lot of people.

7/10

tropical thunder

best thing about that movie was tom cruise. the whole time i was like 'is that? no, is it?' cause i couldn't honestly see him doing something like that.....then i realized how much of a god complex the character had, so i went on with my day.

I watched Passion of the Christ in School today for world religions class:

Incredibly intense, unflichingly realistic and powerfully moving...Mel Gibson made this?

I go to public school and we watched the movie in my Gr.11 World religions class. However, the teacher did talk to most parents and permission notes had to be signed by parents in order to watch the movie.

interesting. did it generate any discussion in the class, or did you just watch the film?

I watched 13 days in history. It was a movie about the 13 days when the Soviets put nuclear missles in Cuba pointed at America and Soviet and USA were about to go to war.

It did generate a lot of discussion. Someone actually asked if some people hated jewish people because they killed Jesus which was really surprising, my teacher didn't really handle/answer the question lol. Other questions were asked about the Da Vinci code and Mary Magladene (sorry, can't spell her name) and also about the representation of the Devil in the movie.

Basically, it caused a lot of discussion lol

There are so many things wrong with that movie. Its interesting to see such a "christian" movie promoting so much hate.
