Watched THE GREY this weekend past.
What can i say, Liam Neeson is awesome. Good story, great acting, there were many parts which i jumped right out of my skin.
If you like movies about survival you will not be disappointed.

8.5/10

Watched Sherlock Holmes Dos. Very similar, thought the first one was a bit better.

Haywire 4/10
A big disappointment for me.I've expected a much better movie.Gina Carano was good at fighting, but not so good at acting. And about the other Hollywood stars....They're even worse than Gina But the worst thing in this movie was the music. It's was definitely the worst movie music that I've ever heard.4 points only because the few fight scenes were really realistic(thank Gina)

Chronicle 8/10
good way to spend 80 minutes. not going to win any awards... but enjoyable nonetheless.

watched "apocalypse now redux" last night. that part when they head to that base with the bridge at night time is a nightmarish scene.

Watched Jurassic Park - AT THE THEATER!!!

They had a digital film fest here for the last week, where they were playing old movies (Big Lebowski, Back to the future 1,2,3, Spaceballs, Sixteen candles, Ferris Bueller's day off, Pulp Fiction, Stand by me... etc. etc.)

I was a little bit worried that it would be old school quality, but it was digitally remastered. Ironically, it's one of my favourite movies to begin with, and me and the gf watched JP 1, 2 and 3 within the last month.

Watching it in front of an audience, with the amazing surround sound was an awesome experience. I almost went to go watch it again a couple of days later, while the fest was still on. If your city is doing something like this, I highly suggest going to check out the movies

Bonus - they were only $6, compared to their normally inflated rates.

Jurassic Park 11/10

Watched Man on a Ledge last night with my women, and it was actually a pretty good movie I must say.

I remember seeing that movie, I wasn't too huge on it, but it was alright. Good story.

project X looks like crap. trying to put some "superbad" night of your life storyline, but this time in a first person camcorder perspective, which is clearly original (paranormal activity, blair witch project, chronicle, jackass 1 - 3, cloverfield, etc.)

whatever happened to films being a story, instead of trying to be big box office events.

why does it matter.

I'm sure they make movies too... its something different...and honestly, their job is to make money too, so they can then make those low grossing indie movies that the true cinema people want to see.

Don't hate on the Blcokbuster, it paves the way for the quality

Cowboys & Aliens gets a fat, ugly D

zero flow between dialog and action sequences. Shitty acting. Little to no creativity and zero humor, similar to most Blazer blogs.
Only reason it doesn't get an F is because Olivia Wilde is super cute.

Ontario Place is apparently shutting down, so I'm guessing that'll be gone too.
