I saw the movie"Pay it Forward" in Careers class. It was good, it was sad when the kid died. I'd give it a 7.5/10

This is probably going to seem like it's out of left field, but I just saw La Bête Humaine and it blew me away. I highly recommend it.

I for one like the left field recommendations, having grown up watching what was called art-house cinema. That's the Renoir? I have been meaning to watch some of his stuff recently. I'll probably check that one out.

Yup it's Renoir. I had never seen any of his work before this one and it totally floored me. It's certainly not art-house but it's a beautiful piece of cinema.

Art-house was actually all about the old masters as well as the cutting edge newcomers, so it would qualify. Renoir's La Règle du Jeu is thought by many people to be the greatest film ever made.

LOL.

i watched commando when i was young, so then it was a very serious action movie.

now just seeing that clip, it's definitely a comedy. the lines are awesome!

I suppose when I think of art house I think of abstract/avant garde films. I'll check out Rgle; I've been trying to practice my french a bit and one way I've been doing it is by watching french movies.

Watched Catch-22. A better adaptation than I was expecting. there were a few incidents I would have loved to see, but they kept the important stuff, and the acting was great 9/10

wanted - i liked shoot'em up because they took it to the limit of silliness on purpose. wanted didn't.

if you're looking for action, it'll keep you interested

just watched "12 angry men". And I think is the best movie I have ever watched. The acting was just amazing. Something you simply dont see anymore.
Seriously you need watch it. A jury has to decide if a 18 year old is guilty of murder and sent to the Chair. Only Henry Fonda of the 12 men thinks he may be innocent, and he convinces them one by one. The whole movie is them in a room talking but tension is so brutal that you cant stop watching.

I gotta chek out this movie...sounds good

Watched JCVD & Quantum of Solace today

Both quality movies...

JCVD : Jean Claude Van Damme's new movie...really hasn't been heard of by many but I watched the trailer a while back and I knew I had to watch this. I remember back when he was a huge star in the 90's, I was about 4 and watching all of his movies wishing I could kick ass like him ...reason why I have a black belt in tae kwon do now maybe lol... Back to the movie, great movie, good acting, funny, amazing direction imo but not a lot of action but great story but it's in french so if you have problems with subtitles...to bad...but seriously, watch it

8/10

Quantum of Solace

For sure not as good as Casino Royale...but I must say, I'm a huge fan of the action sequences, they just blow me away ...still good acting, story was alright, and the direction was good also, too bad the next bond flick will have a new director who might fck everything up

7/10
