Agreed. I thought the first half was great. Went a bit wonky.

Saw the last Harry Potter last week as well.... I dunno... TBH, I enjoyed the book WAY more this time when compared to the movie. Is it just me or did they really make it seem like Harry's dad was kind of a prick?

My favourite one is still "Goblet of Fire". I enjoyed seeing the 2 other schools (ummm... where were THEY for the final battle??) and actually liked Twilight boy's role in it (Pattison as Cedric).

Eddie Murphy, Ben Stiller, Matthew Broderick, Casey Affleck, Michael Pena...pretty crazy cast for a Brett Ratner movie.

Cowboys and Aliens

when we left the theater after the film , the girlfriend and i said the same thing at the exact same moment..."would have been a great rental"

the film just seemed flat at times...and imho it was too long..if Favreau had managed to cut about 15 mins out of the film it would have had a much better pace
the cast is excellent...Craig and Ford have very good moments thruout the story...girlfriend was drooling over Craig during the whole film ...but i must admit, i've never seen him look better
scenery was incredible and there was just enough "spagetti" mixed in to satisfy us both

was a good movie, but would have been a great rental...6/10

Cowboys and Aliens

Didn't know what expect, but overall it wasn't a bad movie. Oddly i hate westerns most of the time and Alien flicks don't get me too interested either but this movie with both kept me somewhat interested. Daniel Craig was pretty good, as was Harrison Ford.

7/10

Crazy Stupid Love: good for a summer fluff movie. And Ryan Gosling makes anything awesome. Great time with girlfriends. 7.5/10.

XMen First Class. 8/10 - really enjoyed it despite some inaccuracies.
Kick Ass. 8/10 - very fun movie. Loved the soundtrack! (music from 28 Days Later a nice treat). Great mix of comedy and extreme violence
IronClad. 8/10 - I know i'm giving away 8's like candy today but this was a good historical/medieval type drama. Good acting, good gore factor (but not too heavy to deter the wife). Not as flashy as a Braveheart but a good movie overall.

Downloaded some movie this weekend. Here are the reviews

1. Yellowbrickroad - Cant help but like this movie. Good independent film with allot of potential. It didnt live up tot the potential. BUt the idea of this film is cool. Some good scares and it makes you wonder what you would do in the same situation.

2. Tucker and Dale VS Evil - Loved this movie. Crazy twist to the hillbilly serial killer slasher film. Cant recommend this enough.

3. Fast Five - Candy for the brain. You know it aint good for you, but you eat it anyways. And it tastes delicious.

Rango

best animated film i've ever had the pleasure of watching

Spagetti Western meets Hunter S. Thompson is the best way to describe this brilliant film (there's even a brief reference to Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas)
cast and voice acting - amazing
sound - incredible
CGI - stunning

an easy 9/10
