I love what MArvel is doing with all these movies. They are all great. Good casts, good acting, good stories. NOthing oscarworthy but still highly entertaining.
I implor you to find fault in any of these marvel avengers movies.

full of CG but it felt so boring for most of the movie. And the dialogue was so cheesy, for a movie that cost $150 million or something around there you'd think they'd start off with a proper script before throwing money at it.

It's a weird feeling that with HP7 the entire series will finally conclude on-screen, and I won't be able to say "I can't wait until the next one!". It's almost saddening.

Warner Bros' 3D Green Lantern ($21.6M Friday, dropping -21% for $17.1M Saturday, and only a $53M weekend) underperforms, unable to meet even the studio's lowered expectation for North America despite the higher 3D ticket prices.

Green Lantern had well-known actor Ryan Reynolds playing the superhero, yet won't come near that other non-sequel Thor's recent $65.7M opening weekend for Marvel yet starring a complete unknown. Even though for weeks now, Green Lantern had been tracking better than Thor, which also was tasked with introducing a superhero to moviegoers.

Warner Bros and DC Entertainment began freaking out Friday about the continuing negative buzz around Green Lantern especially the bad reviews. The studio placed an embargo on movie reviews prior to June 16.

The movie cost Warner Bros over $200 million to produce and overall $300 million total after marketing.
Damn Ryan Reynolds needs to start picking some better movies quick.

I always amazes me how movies like the Green Lantern get produced. When you dump that much money into a project, you'd hope that at least a decent script would be written. I guess they were hoping for the Transformers 2 effect, where people will excuse a poor script and be satisfied with action and explosions, because I expected nothing more after watching the first Transformers movie.

The only movie I'm waiting on that features Reynolds is Deadpool. Marvel is off to a good start for this decade with Iron Man 2, Thor, and First Class. I hope Captain America will be of similar quality, and I'll also be looking forward to The Amazing Spiderman, The Avengers, and Iron Man 3.

The wife and I saw Green Lantern last night and we liked it. I'll admit I'm not that difficult to please when it comes to action movies. I like Reynold's comedic style and delivery and he was right on point as usual. The effects were good...music could have been better. They had some big names doing voicework and Blake Lively is not hard to look at to be sure. I'll download it and watch it again in a few months.
