Me too! I'm not ashamed of my Harry Potter fandom.

I didn't see the last one in theatres, so this one I'll have to. It's just so much better on a huge damn screen.

Harry POtter lost me after order of the phoenix. Prisoner and Goblet where both great movies. BUt Phoenix failed to grab hold of me.
Should I have kept going?

Yep. Might as well!

I liked the books, though... so that might be why I'm a fan.

Saw a few over past weeks....

Thor - 7/10: Entertaining. Liked the lead. Thought he did a good job. Loki was very good too. Didn't really care for Portman which is odd because I have the HUGEST crush on her.

X-Men First Class - 8.5/10: Really, really good. The 2 leads (Prof. X and Magneto) were fantastic and Kevin Bacon was such an ass lol.

Pirates of the Caribbean 5 - 6/10: Meh. Surprised that they're still making these TBH. Kind of getting played out. If it weren't for the Mermaid scene (which was terrifyingly allsome IMO) it would have got a failing grade from me.

Same actors, aged with make-up and all that other Hollywood stuff.

Phoenix and Chamber of Secrets are the worst books/movies out of the lot. Keep going. Half-Blood Prince (the next book/movie) is brilliant and Deathly Hallows is so good.

Did anyone else go back and watch Goblet of Fire recently?

That was my favourite of the HP series.... only now realized that "Cedric" was actually played by that Twilight kid Pattinson!

Mrs Wu and i spent the last 6 months reading the books aloud to our 2 older boys and then watching each movie at the conclusion of the book. as a family, we are super-stoked for HPatDH-II

yup. with a kid its a big deal for wifey and me to go to the theater so we only save it for big movies we are both excited for. This one fits the bill.

I just saw the new X-men movie, it was so fucking boring. Two hours plus of hardcore bullshit that could have been cut down to 1:20 minutes like a normal. If you are not a hardcore fan of X-men do not watch it. Terrible date/guys night out movie.

The plot was very drawn out, barely any action and the only thing that was worth it was January Jones tits flopping all over the place.

I kinda liked green hornet. Like really what were you expecting.. Seth Rogen as the star. About a crime fighter who probally never made it to the big screen if not for Seth Rogens fanboy love for the old character.

Oh BTW Super 8... super awesome.
