Same goes for professional writers. Shame on them.

Really? I really enjoy that movie...watched it several times. It's British humour so it's over the top in a lot of ways but there were definitiely enough romantic elements to make it a great date movie and enough camp to make it funny. To each their own I guess

Watched Battle Los Angeles. Not bad, way better than Skyline. 7/10

Just Go With It: Some nice eye candy...Sandler and his buddie's funny as usual...a couple of irritating characters but some good laughs. 7/10

That's wasn't British humour. British humour is things like Monty Python, Blackadder, stuff with Peter Sellers or Steve Coogan by today's standards, etc.

Dude, the writer/director of Love Actually is Richard Curtis who is known for being a writter for Mr. Bean and Black Adder. It's the same guy His more recent style of movies like 4 Weddings and A Funeral, Briggette Jones and Knotting Hill have become a significant voice for British humour on the screen today(like it or not ).

No worries. I might be biased... it was one of my wife's favourite movies before I met her so I probably heard a lot of buildup before...but i've alwasy liked anything pretty much that Rowan Atkinson, Hugh Grant, Bill Nighy etc...have been in. My tastes are anything but normal though

Unstoppable, movie about a wild train, with Denzel Washington and Thor. It was OK. Not enough stuff getting run over by train though. Only thing that gets smashed is an empty horse trailer. And they had the news choppers flying all crazy like, only inches from the train. That got cheesy real quick.

I don't ever listen to critics, basically because they normally don't have the same taste as me...

Anyone know a good place to buy DVDs? I want to pick up a copy of POTC: Dead Man's Chest, but there's nothing at Walmart, Future Shop, Best Buy, HMV.

I can't believe how hard this is. I hoping that I'm forgetting something obvious.

I saw Bridesmaids today. Lots of funny stuff and likable characters. (8.5/10) I think its bound to be a modern comedy classic like "Superbad" or "The Forty Year Old Virgin".

I finally watched Buried. It's a surprisingly entertaining movie, given that it's just a dude trapped in a box/coffin.
