Hancock 5.5/10. The plot failed.

Felon- 8.4/10

Very good, but very hardcore stuff. Good twists and unpredictability.

Tropic Thunder - 7/10

Total ridiculousness. I thought it would be funnier, but there were definitely some great parts. I thought Ben Stiller and Jack Black's characters could've done more, but Robert Downey Jr. as a black guy is classic. There's also a couple quality guest appearances.

funny games

everyone remember the home invasion in clockwork? this is a two hour extension of that five minute scene. i really liked the bad guys in the flick, but it was so drawn out and boring whenever they weren't in. for you watt fans, she's in it, and in her panties for a large chunk of it, but even still i wouldn't recommend it.

From Dusk Till Dawn

10/10

Selma Hayek's debut film if you will. Her dance is fucking awesome. George Clooney is just bad ass and Cheech having like 10 roles is just great.

little under the weather, so i watched a couple of flicks today

smart people

didn't like it. it was made by the same people who created sideways. i personally haven't seen it, but i can see the comparisons why people didn't like that to myself not liking this flick. i think they nailed ellen page though. little smart robot girl who would probably be a huge dork if she wasn't an actress having writers write her quirky lines. yah, i'm pretty much sick of her.

death at a funeral

whatever can go wrong goes wrong movie. i enjoyed it.

All i have to say is that the first half was funny, the rest i hated. If it wasn't for Robert Downey Jr. i would have given it alot worse (3.5).

the diving bell and the butterfly - 9/10

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0401383/

the true story of jean-dominique bauby, editor of elle magazine, who had a stroke and woke up paralyzed except for the movement of one eye. he was unable to speak. a speech therapist works with him to learn how to communicate. she recites the alphabet and he blinks when she gets to the letter he wants. through this method he spells words and sentences. he goes on to write a book - his memoirs - which he calls the diving bell and the butterfly. this book is made into the movie.

excellent movie, brilliantly filmed. truly a great piece of cinematography. totally original in the way it was shot. also a fantastic story - extremely compelling - with standout performances in little roles by several people. i expected a boring film, but was riveted. great film.

Why We Fight

9/10

A real interesting perspective on American Foreign policy since Eisenhower warned about the Military Industrial Complex. Just a really, really well done film. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in US Foreign policy.

That documental is really good. If I remember well, McCain appears too wich is ironic.

Burn After Reading -- 8/10

A little over hyped, but pretty damn funny nevertheless.
