Due Date

a lot different from the hangover but once you realized that it wasn't supposed to be laugh after laugh, the movie seemed great on it's own. For sure not a typical comedy movie, had a lot of drama in it also. I kind of hated Galifinakis(sp?)'s character at the beginning but he seemed more likable character as the movie progressed...and RDJ is always good at playing the dooche who's nice at times lol

7.5/10

i watched Death Race with Jason Statham yesterday. This was pretty much the most brutaly violent and weak plotted movie i have seen in a long time. Given its weaknesses it was still watchable, but not by much and i was mildly entertained. It was OK.

On another note, i like Statham. He's probably my favorite action star currently.

I liked it but i'm really good at suspending my disbelief and enjoying mindless action and violence

Based on your assessment, I wouldn't watch Death Race II if I were you. It was a weaker movie, but the fact it happened prior to the first movie(in terms of the story) and set up the whole Frankenstein thing it was watchable.

I like Statham, too. I don't usually like many action movies, aside from the Die Hards... but I seem to always like Statham movies.

Trust me so can i.... which is why i was kinda dissapointed at my Death Race experience. Thing is they also made elements of that movie intentionally a joke. Like when that one latin guy came out of the car crash and then got decapitated or even when that coach dude started talking to the viewers after he blew up the warden. However i still thought it was an ok movie.

I didn't even know there was a death race two. I'll check it out.

He has charm. I have no shame in admitting that he charmed me

My wife and i were talking about how funny/cool it would have been if he became James Bond. Being a huge Bond affectionado, i think it would have been awesome. Statham would have been a real kick-ass version of Timothy Dalton.

I'd like to see it, maybe. To be honest, I don't love Daniel Craig as Bond - I know he plays the character the right way, I just don't think the look is right. People fight me on this subject

Dont' pay anything for it whatever you do If you only so so liked the first one this one will be a stretch. Like I said, the best part about it was how it developed the story that happened before the first movie... how the whole Death Race concept started and some of the players. Aside from that it was weaker.

If you guys like Death race you should watch the original Death Race 2000. Made in the mid 70's starring a very young Sly Stalone and David Carradine as Frankenstein. Its a better concept because its a race across America and the drivers receive bonus points for killing randoms, I believe the elderly gain you extra.

I've known about this for a while, but i have never found myself in the position to watch it. It's definitely on the radar though.

Starring Luke Wilson, Giovanni Ribisi (underrated), Gabriel Macht and James Caan, it's about the guys who revolutionized online billing for porn websites and the shitload of money and problems they had in the 90s. This movie never reached a lot of theatres, never even played in Canada so I've been waiting 6 months to watch this movie (BDRIP came out a few days ago)...great acting all around, was directed well also, considering the wait I guess I expected too much out of the movie though.

7.5/10
