The old one is kinda campy. John Wayne's hard to take sometimes. And the girl is kinda annoying. I like it though. Old school Hollywood.

I can see Viggo doing it. But would love to see what JAvier would to with it as well. Both amazing actors. And this would be a huge commitment from both.

I am more interested in who will play eddie dean, and the crimson king.

i'm hoping they can sign McKellan for Gandalf again...they are only a couple of weeks away from shooting and there is no word from him yet

here's a link for a pretty big spoiler...it explains (sort of) how they will incorporate Frodo and Sam into the film...

I saw that! I had mixed feelings about this storytelling device when I initially heard about it but I'm not too upset now. It makes sense, timeline wise ... and it's a nice way to incorporate Frodo into the movie, but I would have preferred it to be Sam (speaking of, you say he's going to be in the movie? I haven't heard about this). Getting excited for Martin Freeman as Bilbo!

My husband and I saw Blue Valentine over the weekend (possibly the last movie outing before the baby comes because this was damn uncomfortable) ... 9/10. Wonderfully and powerfully raw and emotional with 2 superb leading people in Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling. As much of an emotional downer as this movie was, I would totally go see it again.

I want to see that. I've been told that I'll become an emotional wreck after it, but still... I hear good things.

Um. Yes. Be warned. The combination of pregnancy hormones and the craziness of the movie left me a bit of a wreck.

Still great.

phantom of the opera (2004)

8/10

good musical scenes and some of the shots were beautifully done, however gerald butler makes or breaks this film, it depends on the viewer

Gerard Butler was good. Emmy Rossum was awful and way too young for the role.

Just saw Easy A.

Was cute. Some funny parts, pretty much as I expected it. 7/10

But I mean... who hasn't pretended to have sex with people for Home Depot gift cards and hand sanitizer? We all have.

Black Swan - 5/10

I love Natalie Portman's performance - I will give her 10/10 for that - but the theme suck. I believe the movie was released so they could show everyone the stereotypes of ballerina dancers. Not all dancers are bolemic, depressed, dependent, and boring. Not all mothers are obsessed. It's VERY UNLIKELY to get bruises on the toes/nails especially if you're a professional ballerina in a company.

It's obvious that Natalie Portman has a solid ballet background. You can't learn the pointe works and do fuettes, piroettes, and etc just in few classes. Her body movements are so natural. I praise Natalie Portman for that! But for the theme, I don't like it.

I should.

I watched the first two in the Matrix series this weekend for the first time. Enjoyed them. They're so geektacular. You could almost hear all the trenchcoat wearing computer nerds shouting, "I WISH I WAS NEOOOOOOO!" Keanu is so...I just can't take him.

I hear the final installment is a piece of poo though.

I really liked this movie too. The one-liners were fresh and they just kept coming. Very entertaining movie. I'd give it an 8
