Yeah in Connecticut, hence the Jadakiss line.

Biggie is hands down the best rapper ever. "Story To Tell" shows his storytelling rhymes better than any other song, as the name suggests.

Aside from him, I love ATCQ, Common, Slick Rick, Outkast, Snoop, Dre... the list could go on forever. I'm not really into the new artists, old school is definitely the hip-hop Golden Age.

Best rap album for me is:
All eyez on me - 2pac

But I also like
-Biggie's Notorious
- Jay-Z , the black album
- Cool J - Mama said knock you out
- Public enemy - it takes a nation of milliions, Fear of a black planet
- Ghetto Boyz, Convicts
- Ice Cube and Del tha funkee homosapien

And the Chronic album will always be the fucking bomb. I also like Basehead but I'm sure none of you ever heard of that group.

I'm all down for Old School Music but I just recently started listening to some new stuff this year and not all of the new stuff is horrible. There are a lot of artists who still go hard. You just won't find them on the radio.

What "urban" music is today is a long shot from what urban music was back in the 90s, but it's not necessarily the quality of music that's taken a hit. There have always been dope MCs writing even doper rhymes, there still are, and always will be - that isn't what's changed.

What's changed is the general population's tastes, and in turn what makes money and what plays on the radio. This is a generation of club goers - club goers want to hear bass-heavy songs with easy to remember hooks, so that's why the least lyrically sophisticated guys are getting the most green.

But if you know which rocks to search under, you'll always be able to find guys that are keeping it just as real as it was back in the 90s. Hip-hop is always going to be hip-hop, whether Soulja Boy's new album is selling more copies than Common's.

The only place that plays real music is my gym which is a private owned gym. Other then that when I go to a rec center gym I have to workout to Lady Gah Gah. How can someone possibly get motivated when listening to lyrics like "I'm gonna take a ride on your disco stick?"

Kinda disturbing listening to that...in a gym with sweaty muscular dudes.

Lady gaga sucks. She just copied Princess Superstar and added more pop sound to it.
