Again when Big l was comin' up dudes were coming on tracks singing and shit so he spit that horrorcore shit on purpose. When he chose to spit about other things (the heist, casualties of a dice game, street struck) he did it very well. It was just his preference to spit raw. You would leave that GOAT for rappers with the most influence, well that's just dandy I don't care. I leave the GOAT for the dude with the most ability.
I respect your opinion but please tell me how Big L would tear up any of these rappers (If you have listen to any of the rappers I stated). Again its your opinion on whos the GOAT but still I think if I had to pick a GOAT I would usually side with the majority of rappers who say Rakim is the GOAT.

I dont know its simple for me to see that Big L would rip all those rappers, and yes I've listened to em. Big L had that natural ability, punchlines that would embarass any opponent. Yes Rakim gets the GOAT status from many rapper because of his influence, which is well deserved. Big L took it to a new level though, innovated the multisyllable rhyming game.

IMO Ghostface Killah would eat Big L for lunch and any Nas hit (like the World is Yours or The Message) is better than anything Big L is made. Again those two rappers are NY legends and many rappers have been influenced by them. Big L always drops a crazy punchline but I have never seen him him change up his flow multiple times in one song and how he will always come up with some type of orginial or crazy verse nobodys heard about before. Again Ghost and Nas are two my favourite rappers but you dont see me calling them the GOAT. When talking about the GOAT I put away my biases towards some rappers and try to judge who the best rapper on Criterias like discography, range, influence, flow, lyrical structure, and longevity. Thats why I would pick Rakim because he has excelled in all the above. All Im saying if you're going to say who the best rapper of all-time you have to have some criteras or everyone would just pick their favourite rappers.

Ghostface? ....never. I like Nas, but he dropped one ill album and then couldn't live up to it. Disagree about "the world is yours etc." about being better then anything L's made. L would shit on Nas, i remember reading all those NY dudes were on a bus and Nas said L shut that shit down.
