Hey Stonezz, did you see Mos Def and Talib Kweli on Jimmy Fallon a couple weeks ago? They confirmed that there will be another Blackstar album and that they've been working on a bunch of songs.

The first Blackstar album is in my top 5 of all time, no question. Tell you what though, hip-hop could use another Blackstar CD.

I'd love to, but I'll still be 19 days away from being legal at that point.

By the way, new Souls of Mischief album just dropped, dope CD. Definitely worth a buy.

I didn't see that but that would be dope as fuck!

I've always been more of a written guy, I can rhyme off the top in the proper state of mind () but it's never really been something I do on a regular basis. I've gotten it going in a couple cyphers though - when you drop a couple dope rhymes you get into the zone and just flow, it's awesome.

When my roommate and I are bored he'll string out some notes on his guitar, I'll free and he'll start pointing at different stuff in the room for me to rhyme with.

Hell on Earth is a classic album! Def in my Top 5 East Coast/Street albums of all time. That was MOBB at their peak man.

Drop a Gem on 'Em is a top 5 Mobb Deep track, maybe a top 5 diss track period.

Do you really think Hell on Earth is better than The Infamous? That album was an absolute classic. Try listening to the Shook Ones Pt. II instrumental in the dark, alone.

The Infamous deserves to be mentioned with Illmatic and Ready to Die as the East Coast's defining hardcore hip-hop albums, no doubt.

I'll share the song that got me onto hip-hop -

Mos Def, Talib Kweli and Common on the same track, it's not even fair. This song shows how incredibly meaningful hip-hop can be - each verse is a story, when you couple the lyrics with that guitar riff you've got an absolutely mesmerizing song. I've probably listened to this song in excess of 2500 times, still counting.
