So i've been driving across town quite a bit lately. Going east to west, i have to get off the Gardiner at yonge and take the Lakeshore. And i have to say i'm enjoying it. I haven't had to do it during rush hour. But even that might work for me. The Lake is so much more like something i can feel connected to when i can see the lake shore. It's changed the way i feel about this city pretty drastically. Maybe it's just the kind of thing that tends to happen when you're getting old.

Question to RF'ers who have been working for a while in a job and consider it to be their career. Are you happy with it? Do you like going to work or do you think to yourself, another day in hell? I'm asking because there seems to be a lot of people who really hate their jobs, and imo that's really depressing having in mind that people spend most of their time at work.

I have a career but change jobs every 5 years or so because I get bored. But I am a work to live guy rather than a live to work guy. My work, which I enjoy and am proud of but don't love and doesn't really define me, is mostly a way to make the money I need to do the things I really love. And I think that is pretty common. If you can find work that you love, lucky you.

I never think of it as hell, but some aspects of most jobs suck. For me it is more about being proud of it than it is about loving every aspect of it.

^Thanks guys, I really hope I will have a career that I love, I believe I'm on the right path, but still have a long way to go.
I had couple opportunities for jobs that pays really well, but I knew I wasn't going to be happy doing it. had some hard decisions and chose long term happiness instead of immediate satisfaction. I might regret it one day or it might end up being one of the better decisions I made, time will tell.

Man I feel you. I think about my career everyday. Just FYI, I've talked to a bunch of people heading into their 40's and a lot have told me that they regret selling out for more money, surprisingly. Decisions, decisions.

I can't help but find this funny - Best quotes from the altercation where Orlando bloom took a swing at justin bieber:

Quote:
Orlando Bloom threw a punch at Justin Bieber. It's the closest we'll ever get to seeing Legolas fight a Hobbit.

How many times do two cops need to shoot an unarmed man? And do they not use tasers anymore?

WTF is going on?

Don't know where to post this but omg I'm so excited. Went to the linkin park concert today. Was in the pit. And chester freaking Bennington grabbed my hand out of all the people there. Then my friend also got one of the signed guitar picks the threw in the crowd which she then gave to me. Life is complete.
